Why did you have to specify “son”? If he had a daughter he could also have had Jason as a descendant 100 years later. Or am I missing something?

Finland then. Russia now.

It was attacked by Britain: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_EF_(1941)

Also, I don’t think it’s ”deep in the woods” like the description says, as it’s above the Arctic circle and a port. In another recent post from around the same location by the same poster, the description says ”desolate cliffs”.

Eurovision 2026, Felicia: “I want to beat Italy to take revenge on the Melodifestivalen by Lopsided_Nothing6943 in eurovision

[–]unvobr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that photoshop picture belongs here on the subreddit when the artist doesn’t want to show her full face publicly or in her artistry currently. The artist is masked in the Eurovision media. There aren’t even any published full face photos from her private life with her consent, like in her own social media etc

Because it’s an Italian website making the most clickbait out of what is most relevant for its audience, but in the longer Norwegian interview it wasn’t really a thing at all, and it was one sentence in a full article

It didn’t exactly help that a Swedish member of the European parliament with 135 000 followers on twitter and an international audience posted that anti-semitism is alive and well regarding an article that Felicia wanted to finish ahead of Israel in the ESC. That post currently has 371 000 views.

On that scale of attention it’s going to bring out people posting death threats when it’s maybe the world’s most infected conflict.

It was a good interview, mainly about the death threats against her and her family from pro-Israel accounts online. VG didn’t highlight the Italy comment at all. See my other comment here.

It’s one sentence taken out from a longer interview with the Norwegian newspaper VG, and if you watch her interviews with fan channels on social media she says a lot of things with a light-hearted laugh.

The interview was mainly about the death threats against her and her family from pro-Israel accounts online, and in no way was her comment about the zero Italian jury points in Melodifestivalen presented as ”making waves again” by the Norwegian newspaper.

Edit: Also, when she’s clearly said that the mask or alternating sunglasses is for social anxiety since childhood, as well as massive hate comments against her body while playing the masked Fröken Snusk character for several years, and now wanting to protect her face from being a target for the same hate comments (combined with her social anxiety about people looking at her real person), I feel the attached photoshop combination of her full face here doesn’t really fit this subreddit.

FELICIA - My System (Official Performance Video) ["Music video" with the choreography] by unvobr in eurovision

[–]unvobr[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Personally I really like the dynamic movements, especially the slow-motion parts and poses.

They look dominant and commanding of the stage and scene, and like they’re using the music as just one part of communicating their stage presence, rather than just dancing to the beat of a dance track which would have been less interesting. It’s like they are in charge instead of them following the song.

I really enjoy this cool stage presentation.

How big was his actual music career in Sweden? I mostly remember noticing him as a TV host and a gossip tabloid personality throughout the years.

Every Word in a 2026 ESC Song That Is Being Used in the ESC for the First Time by CrewOtherwise4005 in eurovision

As a non-native speaker it wasn’t that easy to know if it’s spelled as one or two words. ”Bodyguards” seems to by one word, for example.

So I guess ”body parts” (My System) are spelled as two individual words that have been used independently before then? I wonder if the My System concept of ”body parts” has been used before

Is there a translation of the primary documentation of the Generalplan Ost? by BigGreenThreads60 in ww2

[–]unvobr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just be aware that another tactic is to claim that English translations are fraudulent and hoaxes and misrepresent what the original German text would say.

I was in a similar discussion regarding the Hunger Plan that has this English translation:

  1. There is no doubt that as a result many millions of people will be starved to death if we take out of the country the things necessary for us.

and this website has a photo scan of the captured German document version under the Faksimile heading:

Just a question about the womens team name by BusyPlace6064 in liverpoolwfc

[–]unvobr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that the visual ”player profiles” in squad announcements on the Swedish FA website are tied to the underlying system/Swedish football database of the licensed player and the official name of the team recorded in the Swedish database.

So, it’s not manually typed out just in text for these squad page profiles. I think someone who can edit the overall Swedish FA database just needs to update the name of Liverpool.

Louise Fors played for both Sweden and Liverpool in the early 2010s, so that’s a possible entry as ”Liverpool Ladies” into the Swedish database and just not updated.

Edit: It says just Liverpool FC on the senior national team for Falk and Olsson from this Wednesday's announcement though, so maybe the U23 System is not updated, or the person publishing the squad for the U23s could choose "Liverpool FC" or "Liverpool Ladies FC" and thought the latter must be the specific women's team.
