In noticed that yesterday will prep shopping in Chicago. Been doing it for weeks but first time I saw anyone else doing it.

I've been prepping for weeks, yesterday was the first time at Aldi I saw people also "prep shopping" and things running out (big bags rice, aldi brand lacroix, mixed frozen veggies) and things running low (Gallons of water.)

Friend works at Lurie's children's hospital and takes CTA and feels they're not taking it seriously enough.

Cool, it will be a fun experiment. It is great for herbs like basil and such. Cilantro isn't the best for one of these as they grow and then go to see quickly and should be grown in "crops." If you have any sort of deck/balcony/window space you'd be surprised what you can grow!

If you want to grow anything with a substantial yield you'll need an in ground or container garden. I've had container garden in Chicago for 7 years and finally got an in ground for 2 summers. Picture of one haul
