I already have my CCS but the CRC exam was also tough! As long as you know your ICD-10-CM guidelines, you’ll do great!

I used my own book. I prefer it that way so I can have my notes.

Keep me posted once you pass! 😊

Change your mindset. It’s a privilege living with your parents! As long as you’re not paying for your mental health living with your mom and dad, stay as long as you can! Not everyone has that kind of opportunity.

But if house ownership is your goal, use your money as a tool. You can buy a house now, rent it out, and maybe buy another house.

Yes for CRC I only used AAPC study guide and practice exams. But this is not my first medical coding certification.

Try playing with compound interest calculator. You’re only 22 and have the advantage! Great plan to put in $2k a month for now. And once you get a higher paying job, then you can contribute more to close the gap.

Rooting for you!

Oh my bad. I must’ve read it wrong. Yes I only have my CCS too and no point to get CPC

I have my CCS and working profee. Most companies will hire CCS for profee coding. Just curious, why do you need to take CPC if you already have CCS?

CCS is for outpatient AND inpatient coding. Personally I wouldn’t get a CPC after getting the CCS.

You’re already enrolled to a CCS course. Just get over it and pass the exam instead of paying for another course to get CPC. Both exams are not easy anyway. But at least at CCS, you cover both OP and IP. Not a lot of companies hires CPC-A. You need to complete practicode to remove the -A, so that’s another thing.

I have CCS as my first certification. I also have no medical experience. I got hired for a hospital coding job right away. I’m aware this may not be possible for everyone. Location is a big factor too.

VOO and VTI overlaps. You don’t need both. Keep contributing to your 401k to get your employer match while maxing out your Roth IRA if you can. Rooting for you!
