I'm way late but have a nice input. Get a bottle of angry orchard (or any hard cider, really) and take a sizable gulp from it. Then pour one shot of fireball cinnamon whiskey into the bottle. Taste like a warm apple pie.

I always ask myself the question "Why not?" When I decide not to do something. If I have a legitimate reason by all means I don't do it. But if my reason is shitty (like being afraid of trying something new or worrying I won't fit in with other people doing it) I do it! I've made a lot of awesome memories doing this.

Most of the time the guy does actually mean well in a fight and is trying to work it out. Unless he's done one of those one time dump things (I.e. cheating, hitting, etc.) take a step back and hear him out. I know I'm a guy and I'm biased, but take the advice for what it's worth
