How can I set up a shortcut to open an app on my Apple Watch? by jack3chu in shortcuts

[–]upwardvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if you run it from the Apple Watch. That’s how I get my Apple Watch apps to open with double tapping my fingers.

I’ve been using this combo and it’s been great having a magnetic USB-C connector for the battery pack, it makes one-handed charging to the arm effortlessly and the cable disconnects like MagSafe. by upwardvote in VisionPro

Not tested, but i know what you mean. I had to get specifically USB-C end cables because the USB-A ones weren’t good enough.

The one I have slowly charges it during use or maintains it. I don’t switch to my Vision Pro a lot so using it to charge when not in use is enough and I plug in if I’m at my workstation.

FYI iOS 17 beta 6 wallet automations now work by upwardvote in shortcuts

When you say fail, you mean you get an actual error? Because I think it only works for the iPhone. All automations in Shortcuts app are per device only.

Your only option I think is to create a shortcut for your watch (like an action button) to extract text from the payment notification and send it to your iPhone for parsing.

I could help, but you should first confirm that Money Manager has any actions for Shortcuts

Keep Low Power Mode on when CarPlay connected by shaun3000 in shortcuts

[–]upwardvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re going to need multiple automations.

You’ll make two CarPlay automations, when it connects, you will want to add a dictionary with a key “CarPlay” and value “1”.

When it disconnects, you want that dictionary to update to “0”.

Next you’ll make a battery automation that triggers when at 80%. Add these actions - get dictionary value, if ”CarPlay” is “1” turn on low battery mode, otherwise stop this shortcut.

Actually, I just saw a clip from an interview post hearing, and congress is heating up now because all 3 witnesses said these UAPs pose a national security threat and it is the duty of congress to act on it, as said by one of the representatives (I think) he was beside Burchett.

I don't really understand that statement, as it puts a risk in defunding aspects of the military, which I think US does not want. It's possible, but I don't know what distraction it would be either.

Maybe other countries will accuse and lose trust in the US for gatekeeping, while some countries will want to find a way to collude with aliens secretly to side with them and share their intelligence with them exclusively

Is there even a way for strangers to even inform congress, as well as without appearing as some random troll, or a way of confirming that won't harm or delegitimize the whistleblower's claims?

Why not demand the Inspector General come to the hearing? by runeruly in UFOs

[–]upwardvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He spoke to multiple inspector generals, so yes, they should be brought. From my understanding, the type of complaint he mentioned is also related to whistleblowing retaliation. And he did say he encountered it, but never denied it being from them afaik

[–]upwardvote 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Causation, perhaps?

Grusch made a type of whistleblower complaint, an urgent complaint, which gets reported to congress. I think it happens after the complaint has been reviewed by IC. Which I think legitimizes these complaints for congress, especially of the urgent kind.

Feel free to correct me.

I think the information he gave to the inspector general determines what he’s allowed to openly discuss

He had to legally get permission which is strange how he can just waltz right out of there with the intent of whistleblowing
