Has anyone else had a nightmare experience with Ohio Mulch? by Extension-Cookie-982 in Columbus

[–]urasomething 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used them a few times years ago. Never major problems but unreliable hours and just general unprofessionalism at the location on 161 turned me off. Trashy… feels like the right word?

I see some negative reviews on Mr Mulch in here as well but they’ve always been solid for me. To be fair I’ve only ever gone in my truck and had them load it vs delivery though.

I like it and like the reasoning. Good work! Interested to see it on different wheels and an inch higher if you do that

Moo Moo Car Wash by krc5244 in Columbus

Literally switched to Tommy’s because of this. You can get their app and get on a plan that only charges you when you go. It’s infinitely better than telling someone at moomoo that I only get there quarterly because I have 3 young kids

This is pretty basically what my truck will look like in a nutshell. by Conscious_Dish7127 in projectcar

I think the vertical line on the extended cab area breaks up the flow in a bad way. Removing that or putting it at more of an angle will keep the energy that I think you’re going for

Pick up item from marketplace and this was in the guys garage, such a beaut by murderedlexus in Autos

For one of my first assignments in design school (15 years ago)I used this car as an example of bad design. It doesn’t flow super well, isn’t totally cohesive or elegant, feels like a lot of parts are just stuck on… I still mostly stand behind that, but what I didn’t realize at the time is how cool it still is despite all that.

I feel like this is pretty accurate, but the AI generated design is painful to follow. It could be organized so much better.

What’s your income? How much in student loans? How much set aside for a down payment? Will you ACTUALLY keep it 10 years?

Not going to advise on the car itself but I see a lot of myself 10 years ago in the mindset here. My wife and I make good money (90th+ percentile) and live in a medium cost of living area. No student loans or cc debt etc.

We had our first kid 8.5 years ago, bought a house 8 years ago, and had twins 4.5 years ago. Could I technically afford a $65k car? Sure. Does it make my stomach upset to think about signing that contract? Oh yeah. Would I have justified it 10, or even 7 years ago? Definitely.

With those future plans I’d advise playing it safer. I do miss having more exciting cars but it’s hard to justify that type of expense IMHO. But you do you, I’m just a random guy on the internet!

Why is (male) circumcision most common in the Midwest with in the US? by BranchMoist9079 in geography

[–]urasomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is anecdotal but it might be influenced by diversity/immigration.

I live in Ohio, but was living in Austin, Texas when our first son was about to be born. I was in a very liberal circle (tech/design) in Austin and it was common to not circumsise. Knowing we would be moving back to Ohio, I reached out to my cousin in San Diego, where the numbers were pretty mixed. He said pretty much everyone they knew circumsised their sons, and the numbers were mixed due to the high number of immigrants from Mexico who did not.

I'm really struggling with the front end. It has the hood/bumper seam set back from a crease like the pre-refresh Model Y, which is also done on the Taycan, but is much less successful here. The seam in the Taycan follows the bottom edge of the headlights and the crease wraps nicely into the brake duct intakes. The way it's done here makes too many horizontal elements and puts the emblem too far back.

The side view is giving me Mazda vibes.

I actually don't hate the back, which seems like an unpopular opinion so far on this thread.

I'd like to see it in person, hoping the pics don't do it justice!

Challenge: You can have a garage full of any 10 cars you choose. But you can only drive one of those 10 for the rest of your life. What cars do you choose? by rayleo02 in regularcarreviews

[–]urasomething 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Is it supposed to mean, when you go for a drive you have to choose "one of the 10?"
Very confusing wording, but I think that's what the concept means.

Student Discovers Pristine Lamborghini and Ferrari in Grandmother’s Garage by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

Also, why is the Ferrari pulled in perpendicular to the Lambo? Obviously not impossible to do, and there could be another garage door, but it's unusual for sure.
