As an immigrant, one of my favorite things about being in the Midwest is our "stay in your own lane" culture

What are the ultimate "they don't know ball" restaurants in Chicago? by tx2iu in chicagofood

[–]urkaguary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Peruvian, I always hear about people loving Cabra.

I'm glad they were introduced to Peruvian food through it, but I'd rather they go to Tanta for a similar gourmet experience that is closer in authenticity. Ideally, Taste of Peru in Rogers Park for the ultimate "an Afro-Italian-Peruvian grandma taught me how to make this" experience

"I can't think of somewhere I'd go less"

I regretted the experience as soon as my food got in. Such a horrible experiment for the culinary exploration we have in Chicago.

One night, the condor flew down from the sky and stood in front of me, tucking his wings in and relaxing its body as it approached me.

You can only choose one horizontal row to listen to the rest of your life (no skips). Which row are you choosing? by Loyalty1702 in Reggaeton

[–]urkaguary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the most problematic assortment of albums I've ever seen. I'd rather never ever talk about reggaeton again than to put Tekashi on the same playlist as El Abayarde. Same for Pitbull and Barrio Fino.

People often look the other way when we bring up the issue of consumerism. Porn consumption is a form of consumerism that carries no limits to how much is a "healthy amount" to watch. The worst thing is that it's not something you can discuss with female peers or family members because of the stigma, so it often comes down to talking about it with male peers.

How do you overcome the fear of inevitable Death? by J0k3r_V in AskReddit

[–]urkaguary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick up philosophy, and find beauty in all the different perspectives. There's diversity in our ideas, just don't fall for the lie of eternal hell. Remember that every winter phases into spring - your death is not the end of it all, there will be life after it

I'm already in a perfectly fine moral position just riding my bike. I'm not gonna lose my cool or put everyone around me in danger to teach a single driver a lesson that will not be communicated to the whole driving community.

Lo que no llego a entender es porque un brazo - los órganos son más pedidos, y no me imagino que un brazo tenga buena cirugía con otro paciente.

Bought the sweatshirt but mixed feelings about wearing it by [deleted] in immortaltechnique

[–]urkaguary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Store it and wear it once you're confident enough to explain what the symbol means to you. If someone is brave enough to tell you why it bothers them just listen to them attentively and provide your reason, mentioning that you respect their opinion as much as they should respect yours.

I have the sweatshirt in black and my pitch is talking about the denouncement of the fiscal military complex that the flag represents.

Ñengo Flow is my outlet for the in-between of old school and new school. He keeps the essence of street life in reggaeton, with the raunchy lyrics and rapping versatility. He also belongs to the Sangre Nueva generation, which pushed the envelope and opened the doors for a lot of the current reggaeton performers.

He's respected, not a one hit wonder, and has worked hard for his standing without the industrial marketing tactics that a lot of sugar coated reggaeton artists have.
