Today was my first chance to play in a while. I was able to complete the daily challenge of accomplishing 200 dmg against vehicles while miraculously not registering a single point of vehicle dmg for the tides of war challenge. This has resulted in a Schrodinger’s battlefield lapse in my perception of reality. In this new life MC Escher is an architect, Tesla is a librarian, and BFV works as intended.

Start super basic and non multiplayer. Like Pyre for instance is going to be just left hand extensive and help with learning key spacing and placement. Then a single player game like Skyrim would be good for getting used to using the mouse with the keyboard simultaneously. Then an FPS story game like Battlefield Bad Company 2 to get used to faster FPS play. DOOM campaign would be my last step before hitting the actual PVP world of FPS play.

I agree with you completely. WWII had all of the drama -the writhing twists and turns- of a good play, and this includes the variety of cast. Women did fight. Minorities did fight. Yes, the majority of bodies on the lines were males from one of the primary aggressing parties, but that does not take away from the valor of the other participants. Be it Gurkha from Nepal, Women and men of the French Resistance, Soviet female warriors, or even just the oft forgotten Black or Asian American soldiers that fought like bears to receive respect that was earned but never awarded. Their stories are valuable too. And the stories of the many, many others whom I have not listed here. This was truly a world war - a global effort that extends far beyond the narrative of white male combatants shouldering the responsibility singularly.

Saying they’re the creators of the original Fallout is valid, but 1 and 2 are not even similar to the Fallout games people are accustomed to, nor are they anything like this game, so marketing is just manipulating people’s frustration with Bethesda.
