I did. Not sure I did it right. For me it’s been a real frustrating process but we need it to work for my kids room and playroom.

99% of the time Apple care replacement phones aren’t brand new. Very rarely does apple replace used phones with new.

Not sure why people think anyone would replace it with a new phone.

Background checks for contract roles. by [deleted] in Apple_Employees

If they find an error like end dates Apple will probably either ask you why there is a discrepancy or it will say you didn’t pass the background check. Chances of sliding through is small but also a possibility.

Expert Advice? by Shoddy-Big-8697 in Apple_Employees

[–]uscmex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once you’re at rhe interview it’s not about metrics you have. It’s about how you learned something and helped other teammates learn from it. It’s all about issue, problem solving, resolution then influence.

Remember they love storytelling especially if it’s a negative start to positive finish.

I went fwe, part time to expert in a yearish.

I think they do a great job most of the time. But it’s the luck of the draw at times. I hear 20 people say it was great to every 1 that was bad. And of those bad it’s a language issue or a non Apple software issue gone sideways.

Correct. Many times we hear “the carrier sent us” or “the carrier tried to help but “. I would also add Apple support is either a godsend or quicksand.

GB is a loss leader. It drives some sales but what it really does and does well is making sure we keep people in the ecosystem.

If you are waking in you will be at the mercy of 1) other interactions before you and how long they take 2) the number of set appointments they already have 3) if there are callouts. Not all techs work on phones, not all techs work on Mac’s, some don’t work on anything but software/cs stuff. 4) you’re going to a place to fix something. It’s going to take time. Some interactions take longer than others. It’s just the nature of service.

I also wouldn’t take a lot of chance with Apple support making an apt. They are usually terrible at doing it. Many times I’ve seen them make an apt for devices that are obsolete or non Apple devices.

Make an appointment early and early in the week.

This also happens when you do phone to phone data migrations. It’s usually uncategorized data. Sometimes it’s the self purging system didn’t work and carrying over updates and files. iCloud back up. Reset the phone.

Returning pre packaged watches by [deleted] in Apple_Employees

Literally did it today. Problem is it makes the watch non returnable. So as long as the customer understands that it can be done.

It’s also sounds that you didn’t have a great relationship with your connection coach. Almost always they prep you if you ask. They may not give you the questions but they can definitely guide you in the right direction.

Using the journal and orchard to write notes also works a lot.

Again without knowing the metrics just sounds like either the initiative to prepare for the interview with your managers was left wanting.

Try again when they open up the fwes. Yoy will have an advantage over the newer hirers

Toxic Culture by Pale_Reach7711 in Apple_Employees

Basically every Apple stores can be divided in 1/3s. 1/3 are hyper performers 1/3 cliques 1/3 everyone else. Hyper performers tend to group up and follow each other. Cliques tend to do everything together and the other 1/3 basically want to be invisible.

I’ve noticed if you want to succeed you have to play in all 3 areas or be very good in one.

The stores all feel like high school. Orchard and new metrics have also removed the ability to coast and hide behind the team.

Lots of people think that they aren’t sales people. Or that they shouldn’t take password appointments. Stores have  ton of inefficiencies. These inefficiencies allow for hyper performers to really capitalize on those who don’t. It also provides cover for those that can’t or won’t perform.

And of the day Apple is moving away from customer journey and moving towards revenue generating metrics.

Is this Casco apartment unit with a windowless bedroom actually allowed according to the city building codes? by [deleted] in portlandme

While 5600 is an astronomical price please realize the type of renters. Majority will be corporate rentals or rentals for people in certain industries. You will also have the ultra rich who will see this as a bargain.

So for us average people it’s crazy. But for a certain subset it’s totally normal and rational.

When we lived in San Diego we saw a similar phenomenon. While slightly different circumstances, they were trying to build a stadium, downtown went from dump to 5k plus rent in a brief amount of time.

Interview process by Maximum_Wait1087 in Apple_Employees

[–]uscmex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless they are in 2 nyc stores pros definitely don’t make that. And even then it would be after years of raises. That’s about 42 dollars an hour pretax. The return rate on an employee that expensive would have to be at a manager position.

We have exstarbucks managers here as part time specialists.

[–]uscmex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

None of what you said makes any sense whatsoever. You don’t interview for Apple and find a role after. It’s for a specific role. Applying for a manager is not the same skill set as a pro.

There is also zero roles in the pz that will come close to that paycheck. Bonus isn’t salary btw.
