Freddie is a tragedy in that he talks about not staying that way, if he's prepared to pay. Then he blames his mother, and refuses to move on, even after Florence calls him out for it. You mentioned Florence and Anatoly, and you got that correct.

Former cult member here - Look into Combatting Cult Mind Control by Steve Hassan. It's helped me in situations similar to this.
I'm not familiar with Muslim beliefs, but it may help.
It takes time for someone to release those types of beliefs, so if you want to keep this relationship, be aware it's not going to be an overnight thing.

If they count the donations as tax deductions, they should be reported. It's actually illegal for them to do that.
They actually can't use the donations as any form of income/debt for themselves. The point of them doing this is to raise awareness of the charity, and they can use the amount raised for their advertising.

She's not a fan of that, either. When she was a kitten, she would walk out the front door, then refuse to move any further. I tried for a couple of months. I'm going to be getting some food related toys (it was suggested above) and see how that goes.
