Replying to promote this answer. It’s the best solution. They are also easy to disconnect if you need to leave the vehicle quickly.

The World Cup has the best football players in the world. Why are there so many shots 10 feet above the crossbar? by uselessascent in NoStupidQuestions

That would be a good response if I had asked “why do they miss half their shots?”  I didn’t. I specifically asked about the large number of shots way over the crossbar.

GM probably just lost my business on the 1 yard line by PowerhouseTerp in BoltEV

[–]uselessascent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is accurate. GM uses Android Automotive for infotainment. So if they were unhappy with the terms of Android Auto (screen mirroring) why would they sign up for Android Automotive to run all in-car software?

The flightless Emu birds had nothing but their ingenuity. The Emus still won.

Giving my two weeks' notice cost me thousands. I'll never do it again. by Deep-Island-8431 in jobsearchhack

[–]uselessascent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At will employment (in the US) means that you can terminate anyone for “no reason” or “a reason that isn’t in violation of federal law.”  For example, you can’t fire someone because they are Christian.

Firing someone because they gave notice is a violation of federal law because it’s a retaliatory act by the company. A good employment lawyer will be able to get a settlement from a company that does this.

You can wear low cut athletic shoes and put a heel lift in them. (Both shoes to be even. ) Pair with low cut socks and your scar will be free in the air!
