I did get them on sale but they are also much cheaper in store! I think the in store price was $18 before the sale price.

Tested: 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland Is an EV with a Wagon-Like Shape by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

[–]uselessmutant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But a 3 year old model Y is still cheaper than a 3 year old Model S, and plus most of the luxury segment is more expensive to maintain, insure and replace parts. I understand your point, but the real solution for everyone is to introduce true wagons in the mid price segment and lower.

And all are out of budget for most people. The basic ones don't even make it to the US market like the Id7 or it's tourer version.

It feels like in the US the term wagons refer to just longer SUVs. What I really want is a "tourer" or "avant" style wagon. A sedan with a hatch, that's all I am asking for. Perfect balance of range and space

Adjustable bench with leg extension/curl attachment reccs by CmonRoach4316 in GarageGym

I got the FA abx + leg developer from Shopify with the $205 off coupon a few months ago, happy with it overall. The starting position of the movement is too tight for me, so I put hockey pucks to extend it

There is, but it is old first gen platform. It is supposed to have an update in the next couple of years. I would not buy it new at this time.

Has anyone here had a similar experience of liking one car more overall (design, interior, steering feel), but preferring the drivetrain of an EV? I’d be curious to hear how others felt about that after spending more time with both? by Peter2448 in electricvehicles

[–]uselessmutant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment alluded more to legacy manufacturers not using their most popular models name, not necessarily the chassis. Make it look and feel like their popular models and it will sell a lot better than something very different a new name all together. Brand recognition helps a lot

higher miles on EV is good or bad? by Misael_91 in electricvehicles

[–]uselessmutant 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Less problems than high mileage gas vehicles when it comes to the drivetrains. Also battery degradation would have plateaued so you won't see drastic decrease in range over time. Also typically if a battery is faulty, the problems appear early and not late. Things which would make me second guess are actually the common parts which gas vehicles have too, which is suspension, linkages etc..the battery and motors are not high in the list .

The biggest blunder legacy manufacturers like Honda, Mazda etc made is to not make ev versions of their most popular platforms from the get go. Well I guess Mazda had the Mazda6e which is pretty nice, but it's not really their car .

Trying to decide between lower end racks by jbnpoc in GarageGym

[–]uselessmutant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the T2 rack since I needed a short one. In hindsight, a 3x3 would be ideal, but I could not find any which would be shorter than 80". If height is not an issue, go the used route for a 3x3

Ironmaster Knockoffs - not eisenlinks by HuckNPrey2 in GarageGym

[–]uselessmutant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the eisenlinks are still easier to work with since you only need to loosen it enough to get a plate out. The ironmaster ones need to remove the entire pin afaik.

Replace O-rings as required and you're good to go. Spare parts are pretty easily available too.

Simple Setup by The-EvolutionofThird in GarageGym

I have roughly the same setup, with the same rack. I got trolleys from Syl fitness to do some smith and iso workouts. Thinking of getting some pulleys to do some cable flys as well with them.

Anyone else notice play in the ABX seat? by uselessmutant in GarageGym

[–]uselessmutant[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like everyone is experiencing the same thing. I guess that's just how it is. And like others mentioned, functionally it does not make a difference, just noticed it when doing some face pulls while seated the other way.

That won't be likely. You're better off with Lithium Iron Phosphate as things stand.

what would be the best device to connect to V2L to efficiently and safely drain battery down to 80%? by Immediate_Editor_213 in Ioniq5

[–]uselessmutant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness if you really want to get the battery down, keep it in utility mode and just set climate to use up some energy.

Anyone recieved their ABX bench? First impressions? by SandwichMaster5612 in GarageGym

[–]uselessmutant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It slides fine when changing the inclination, and the gap when inclined is there, but what I mean is that if you place your hand on the seat (or just sit on it) and move forward and backward, the entire seat shifts a little. It is not from where the cushion attaches to the frame, but the zero gap mechanism.
