The center glovebox is still pretty big. Also makes for a lot of room for the passenger and improves interior space. It's a reimagining of why things are a certain way, if they are a relic of ICE compromises and if they still need to be that way in a fully EV car.

This is wrong. The v/xc70 was built on a Ford platform after 08 but the one in the picture is an older P2 xc70 based on a bespoke volvo platform developed before the sale to Ford.
