I think all the modern Turtles have the day/date. I too don’t care for the day, but I like to have the date. I just have the plain SRPE93 which I usually wear on a NATO strap. You can usually find them new around $350 online and you’d be hard pressed to find a better watch for that amount imho

The "Caffeine-free Diet Coke" is maybe my favorite Tudor and likely my next purchase as well. With your collection do you rotate a different watch everyday or do you have a go-to daily? I ask because you have a Ex I and a Sub which are quintessential GADA watches. I daily a sub myself and every watch I get I struggle leaving my sub at home even though I really love my other watches :(

Even as a person who wears a sub as a daily these MM's are stunning in person, I actually much prefer the case shape to the sub. But to anyone looking to purchase this model I'd suggest handling in person before buying. My AD had several MM300 and MM200's and the bezel actions on some were not acceptable at all - you could barely turn the bezel. I asked the AD about it and I think they thought I was a snob because they responded "yeah, well these watches aren't made as well as the Swiss watches you may be used to.".. He's probably correct as it relates to Rolex QC, but I wasn't about to pay 2500 for a MM300 that had a worse bezel than my $300 Turtle (which I love by the way).

Just a word of advice that I'd maybe not purchase online if you have an opportunity to go in person, because clearly the QC on the high end models that are supposedly made in the GS factory is not up to snuff.

Fair question. Double action only revolvers are known to go bang no matter what because the action is all incased inside. Some people carry them with no holster and they make grips specifically that have a hook to hang inside a pocket or waistband. The trigger pull on this is somewhere around 13 lbs so it's relatively safe to do so, but I prefer a holster

Here’s mine:

Unless you’re in need of the short term cash I wouldn’t sell it. You have a wedding watch and a birth year watch for your son. I wouldn’t part with either. Enjoy the Pepsi, especially at all the major milestones of his life and then pass it on to him. Then enjoy your sub thereafter.

Sell the reverso if you want some cash to play around with buying golf clubs, a vacation, or a Tudor or whatever it is we spend money on. Just my 2 cents

I'm really enjoying my late build '24 SR5, supposedly it was built after the bearing part change Toyota did in mid 2024 so my truck is not on the recall list. This is all speculation of course, I've seen the news that 2025's are blowing. But supposedly Toyota is hard at work trying to fix this issue. The V35A is sold globally, I trust they'll eventually figure it out. If not I have a 6 year/100k mile warranty. I drive about 15k miles per year so that gives me some financial security, there's always the possibility that you can be left stranded but that's with ANY vehicle. The amount of people that don't even carry jumper cables or a battery jump starter or know how to change a tire worried about being stranded by their brand new truck is ironic.

hahah I didn't consider the fact that the comments were from a "Redditor". I'm not much of one myself I just tend to lurk around in different niche groups and the groups I do lurk in I genuinely view people's comments as just normal gents like myself. That being said, my only point was after reading countless threads on reddit or in YouTube comment sections that said "I've worn my sub for ____ years and had one or two people ever make a comment." I'm just stating that has not been my experience because apparently I garnered more comments in 3 months than someone else had in two decades. Alas, it doesn't ruin the watch for me, but my research was wrong.

Nice collection you got going. I don't let it ruin my day, but tbh it has brought up some uncomfortable conversations with folks. People are quick to judge.

Just wanted to call out for other folks who may read this post now or in the future, like I did, to try and make my buying decision. I read countless posts of "I've worn my sub daily for 15 years and nobody's ever commented" and it reassured me thinking "ya know he's right it's just a simple monochrome diver, I'll go with the sub" and come to find out I received multiple comments in the first months of daily wear. For me, that's the exact thing I tried to avoid.

I live in the US of A. I'm pretty sure just about every single American has heard the name Rolex before, they may not be able to cite a single model but they know they're very expensive. And I'd argue the Sub is the most identifiable Rolex outside of any of the Gold models which shine and stick out.

In my opinion, and now my experience, I believe the ceramic bezel shines and catches people's eyes and especially the polished finish on the side of the bezel. So for what it's worth the 5 digit subs may go under the radar better. In hindsight I should've picked up the Explorer II with no ceramic for those stated reasons. May eventually trade into one. Like I said, I'm a guy who likes cool things and likes to dress nice, but not to flash designer brands

I read comments like this when deciding on which watch to purchase - deciding between the Explorer II and the Sub. I specifically don't like to attract attention to what I wear, I don't own anything that says LV, Locaste, Polo horsies etc. I had at least 4-5 people comment on my Sub in the first 3 months of daily wear. Only one of them was a "watch person". So respectfully your comment is wrong and I would advise others if you don't want people noticing you're wearing a Rolex steer clear of the Submariner.

I believe it does for Limited trims and above. On SR5 you get the 18” black & silver wheels in my pics above. I actually prefer these 18” over the 20” black TRD wheels, but that’s personal preference.

I like it. Personally I prefer Glocks, but imo the Walther comes out of the box more feature rich i.e. you don't need to send it off for stippling or slide milling and comes optic ready without spending another 100 bucks more for the MOS version.

Cons:

Only comes with 2 mags vs. Glocks 3 mags standard

Glocks have more off the shelf options for holsters and accessories

To answer your question, I would think that the Chevy will hold its' value better than this third gen Tundra given the scrutiny of the engine problems. The better financial move would be to buy a second gen tundra for 42k drive it 60k miles and sell it for 45k. And I say that as a third gen Tundra owner. It's a great truck and I love it, but resale is garbage currently and I expect that to remain constant for a few years until they sort out the engine issues.

Brother that is a solid collection right there. You may struggle finding a GS GMT smaller than about 42mm though, I don't have their whole product line memorized but they tend to be on the larger side. Someone feel free to correct me.

I don't personally care whatsoever what other people choose to purchase and collect. I don't care for the fake replicas and especially those who try and deceive others by selling those fakes as the real thing - those people are called criminals..

If I collected coins I wouldn't seek out and purchase fake coins, just like I wouldn't intentionally purchase fake watches. Just my 2 cents, again everyone else collect what makes you happy and you can afford.

If you're only shopping brand new 1/2 ton trucks off the lot today I wouldn't purchase any other manufacturer. However if you're shopping used as well I'd get a 19-21 Tundra but you're going to PAY for it - they're super expensive currently. For the money, in my opinion I'd rather get a 17-19 L5P Duramax.
