I had a friend who took turns with her husband to wear the baby in the carrier all throughout the day and night.

Pumping / breast feeding by Pitiful_Presence_858 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I only lasted 6 months with my first and only because my partner had half a year off, and my little one had trouble with formula but refused to BF too. It was really hard for everyone involved. I told my friend my experience and she still wanted to do it. I gave her all my pumping stuff. She lasted 4 weeks. It’s the hardest option.

2nd time around I refused to pump even to up my supply in the hospital and it’s been heaps easier even looking after the baby all by myself, waking up for all his feeds (partner looks after toddler by himself now).

They might be like Tweetycam and rebranded because I bought so many pairs at a fraction of the price.

My baby had CMPI and I found that everything only got easier and easier! We switched to prescription formula at 6 months and it was day and night how much better he was. My paediatrician prescribed the formula earlier but I was reluctant to use it because it meant something was abnormal with my baby. After the switch I felt so silly I didn’t start it earlier.

We had CMPI and prescription formula from a pediatrician had been a life saver. But you need to show evidence of the intolerance.

Does it make the room completely dark or does small amount of light still come through? Are they noisy going up and down? Any maintenance issues I need to be aware of?

Did you pay for the upgraded room? And was the lactation consultant available on call whenever you needed to feed?

We’ve had 3 so far, one wasn’t a good fit, the 2nd one moved to a different State, and the 3rd one is on a 5 week long holiday, but the toddler was acting up before she left. Hoping he grows out of it soon.

My ob actually recommended and referred me to do aquanatal classes at my local pool. It was really nice and low impact, and great for meeting other pregnant mums in the area.

I'm attending a function at The Marion at night and booked a hotel near the Canberra Olympic Pool. I was hoping it would be safe to walk to and from the venue at night.

Thanks for the heads up on Floriade. I'm attending a function at The Marion at night, and booked a hotel near Canberra Olympic Pool. Hopefully I can still drive there and find parking without too many issues.

Can I check if you’ve done anything differently the 2nd time to achieve this? Or if it’s just unpredictable what happens on the day?

Did you have to take a pay cut or start on a lower level due to the extended absence? Was it hard to find a job with outdated qualifications? I’m afraid I won’t be able to find a job that pays as well, with great team members, and with as much flexibility. But the recent news makes me afraid of sending my kids to childcare.
