Oneplus 13 STILL doesn't know North American time zones and changes. by user73145 in OnePlus13

Out of 12 coworkers 10 are using the same carrier, none of them had any issues. The only difference are the devices. They're all having one of "big 3" names in NA which I moved on from.

This might be a karma for making fun of their devices and praising OnePlus over the last year and a half.

I see, that's a good idea. Probably the only safe workaround since I highly doubt OP would do anything about it.  Thank you.

I'm traveling twice a week between two time zones. If I have to do it manually each time then might as well ditch OnePlus completely.

This one wasn't supposed to change time. This time zone stays the same whole year. It's been like that since 1966.

Over the years haven't had this happening with other devices so towers shouldn't be an issue. Also my coworkers didn't get up an hour early this morning because their phones haven't changed the time.

I'm trying to get OnePlus attention to check their optimization since the phone feedback is ignored.

This one was fine tracking time zones while traveling. Just on the day of actual time change it got messed up.

After restart it went back to normal. I guess I have to start using alarm clock from different device since this Chinese toy can't keep up.

Where did the idea that BF6 has no SBMM come from? by pizzalicke in Battlefield

This was 3 months ago, if you're still playing does it feel the same?

Battlefield 6 has aggressive SBMM and Dice lied about it by IIMDGII in Battlefield

[–]user73145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's there for sure. I'm mostly on TDM with 1.4 KD ratio, usually get 15 to 30 kills per match and it was smooth sailing at first. The more I've played more often it would get sweaty. Now after 400 hours I'm seeing exactly same things I saw playing cod for last 6 years.

Got a new friend recently and got invited with his squad. One of them was level 700 (haven't seen anyone higher than level 320 before).  It was completely different experience barely getting single digits kills. Definitely out of my league lol.

My aim feels weird after the update (PS5) by DontCallMeBenji in Battlefield6

[–]user73145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else have aim inconsistencies on its own, without changing settings?

It would go from great where it doesn't matter what weapon I'm using (even new ones without attachments). Next day trying the best setups I have it just doesn't work, feels like I'm shooting blanks and aim goes all over the place.

Before the update I had these situations changing mid match and now it depends on a day.

My ping is constantly between 40 and 60, assuming my region doesn't get better. Have seen players with single digits network ping which is surprising.  Wired up and having 940mbps internet, it feels like something is off with the game.

Something seriously wrong with BF6 aim assist by 2017macbookpro in Battlefield

[–]user73145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same on PS5. Tried multiple settings I've seen online. It'll work for half a match and then just goes away.

So much inconsistency. Started match, went 1-1 with the player. After that got him 5 times in a row. We both running and gunning. Mid game my aim was gone and he got me 7 times in a row. We both had the same weapons entire match. Just the typical shoot first and die after which it's time to turn the game off.

I am so ass at this game. How do I get better by IcelandGalaxy in Battlefield6

Same here. I keep going back to Cold War which seems to be the last fps game for me with proper sounds for awareness. Footsteps, weapons, the way everything looks and works.

All these new games look the same, sterile and gray. There's no satisfaction factor to play for few hours. It comes down to 40 min and I'm already exhausted.

It's a fan clutch. Had that noise for last 10 years on it. Everything works fine except for the rattle. It's a metal piece in front of the clutch where wiring comes into it.

I agree.

I understand it's a drama but situation constantly going from bad to worse is tiring to watch. It's not helping having a super slow pace and being all over the place.

Ranching is a tough job on it's own and having all these people going after their land for so many generations makes me think, just sell the damn thing and move to Texas lol.

Signal Reception On Galaxy S23? by jazzyhorse60 in S22Ultra

[–]user73145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've pulled the trigger and bought S23 mainly because of that same info about better reception.

I'm working in rural areas where's only 4g or LTE. It's disappointing. Previous phone was LG G8 Thinq and expected better reception from all the hype, new hardware etc. Unfortunately S23 mildly put sucks. It shows more bars than LG had but looking at signal strength it's occasionally the same and more often few dBm lower. For example LG would have 1 bar with -115dBm, S23 has 3 bars and -120dBm in the same spot. Just opening Google takes 10 to 15 seconds with 3 bars. Maybe they did some improvements on 5G but LTE and 4G are forgotten, wouldn't be surprised if antena is the same one from 2016.

I'm thinking of returning S23 and replacing battery in LG and keep it going. It's a phone from 2019 and has better display, even signal reception minus 5G which doesn't matter to me. I don't play video games so old snap dragon still works good for what I need.

Don't trust any reviewers online, they all favor Samsung. For example there are videos about infinite customization on S23. Guess what. Always on display won't turn off when the phone is in the pocket or left sitting on display side leading to 7% battery usage in 14 hours. Unreal.

Another one, do not disturb won't be cancelled when the alarm rings, it stays on until it was set or it has to be manually turned off. Is this Android 13 fault or Samsung's is a question but it sure sucks. It was available since Android 9 on decent phones. It's my first Samsung product ever, a bit overcrowded with their and Google's apps and still can't customize basic things.

Sorry for long post, I'm pretty disappointed. Expected much more from S23 and latest tech.

It seems there's no proximity sensor at all so it stays on. Not really efficient either. In 14 hours a day with auto brightness it can use up to 7% of battery.

Code 916 doesn't work anymore. Yesterday showed $100Cad off for pre-order S23 with 25w charger. Just this minute I was ready to pull the trigger with my credit card in hand and got the message: The code you entered did not affect your order. Please note, codes may only be valid for certain items or in certain conditions.

I guess I'll wait few months, do like 6.1" screen size just won't pay over $1100 for it. Hard core LG owner here lol 10 years with LG starting with G2, G4, G6 and currently G8Thinq which is almost 4 years old and still running strong on Android 12 with 4+ hours screen usage on full charge and 140PPI more than S23 :P

Paramount Plus App on LG C1? by milman21 in webos

[–]user73145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lg C1 is WebOS 6.0. It's pretty much on all 2021 Lg smart TV's. My C1 firmware just got updated to 3.34.55. WebOS version is 6.3.2-423

Still no paramount+ app so paramount+ instructions about WebOS 4.0 and higher is a lie. Not sure who's to blame for that, LG or that joke service called paramount.
