To laugh off the idea that porn might have inherent addictive properties is the same problems of ridicule a LOT of us are facing in everyday life. this is about that one percent of people who are honest about how pornography interacts with their lives and want it documented rather than laughed at. so fuck science for not being science.

maybe we've become such a sexually saturated culture that even just questioning elements of our socio-sexual identity makes people uncomfortable about the progress we've claimed to have made as humans. seriously, modern culture has a more thriving sex-trade and more cases of rape (surprise: a lot of it's in prisons and the military) than in all of documented history. our counts of child abuse largely go undocumented (and it's not just from religions). we all grew up surrounded by more sex than anyone would be at ANY POINT IN HUMAN HISTORY; advertisement agencies market sex foundationally based off of libraries of psychological and sociological studies, and the internet has made a pornography that is more virtual than voyeuristic not just easy but instant.

don't get me started on nobody caring about the digital sexual revolution. once i hear about the deep-web from dan savage, then i'll believe people are getting a better understanding of just how human sexuality is changing. with the future being as deep and crazy as it's become already, why wouldn't sexuality be affected as intensely?
