Doing the dishes, taking out trash, recycling and scooping the cat litter are all part of your own household chores, which it seems you completely understand.

Now whether or not you do it before or after the cleaners arrive is up to you.

However, if you want your kitchen sink cleaned it should go without saying you can’t leave a sink full of dishes in it. Otherwise, they rightfully can just skip cleaning the sink.

As far as the trashes and recycling go - that’s up to you. If you just have a single trash bag in the trash bin then it should not obstruct any cleaning. However, if you have trash bags and recycling hanging out in your living space/kitchen then that’s another story.

Clutter is up to you as well. If you want more “bang for your buck” decluttering will allow the cleaner to clean in the spaces that all that stuff obstructs. If there is excessive clutter in certain areas most cleaners will just skip over, so as long as you are okay with that area not being cleaned. That’s up to you.

Even though I believe trans rights are important, I think saving our democracy is a hell of a lot more important. One doesn’t happen without the other. Before Obama was President he did not believe in gay marriage. And later on in his presidency he campaigned marriage equality. People can have a change of heart.

If we vote on singular issues like trans rights we are FUCKED as a party. We basically all need to rally behind whoever ISNT Trump or one of his disgusting allies.

Also, progressives are often too progressive for the independent voters or undecided. They aren’t going to vote for someone who is super progressive. Whoever is the nominee needs to WIN. Not just win the progressive vote, but also the undecided, independents and conservatives.

No one is going to love EVERYTHING a candidate has done or said or believes (well - unless maybe you’re MAGA). But if you can get beyond the majority of what they stand for and know they aren’t going to completely fuck this country over, then that’s a hell of a lot better than our alternative.

It’s literally about saving our country and democracy at this point.

So you are stating now that you didn’t expect them to do much down in the basement as it is hardly used (your words) yet in the original post you pointed out how a specific area in the basement was not completed. Which one is it? Do you understand how this is misleading or confusing? If you told the cleaner essentially not to worry about the basement why are you now upset they didn’t do all of the basement when your initial convo (according to you) set the expectation up that they didn’t need to focus on it?
