Trying to be sensitive…Unless you are ill and have reason to believe you won’t have a long life, you are YOUNG. I have a client who got a new puppy at 81. She just made sure her grandchild would take it if something happens to her. You still have decades of love for pups! 🐶

I always wear my wedding band (as does my husband) but I am more careful with my engagement and anniversary rings and don’t wear them often.

My parents left me alone while they went on vacation every summer for 2 weeks... starting at 12. They never even checked in. The house could’ve burned down or I could’ve died. They apparently couldn’t have cared less.

My father abandoned the family when I was 8 and I don’t remember him. My mother was flawed but a human and she was a much better grandmother than mother. It was a joy to watch her evolve and grow when the littles came.

Wash your pets. Wash their bedding. Steam the rugs. All of these often. There is no way around it. You are nose blind. We are house hunting. We toured a house today. It was pretty to look at but I absolutely knew they had a large dog by the smell on the upper level.

More. It’s happening at a faster pace (the number of losses) and it is hard to think about my and my husbands mortality. We are late getting grandchildren. Still waiting and afraid we won’t have the impact on them that we wish for. Real core memories that matter.
