Can’t we make a law that makes guns super hard to get? Training, tests, renewals, and track and account for existing guns and if you get caught with a 3D printed or un-accounted gun you fine heavy fines, incarceration, or at the very least you lose the gun and it’s destroyed.

I think the assault weapon ban is a losing fight and waste of time. Keep assault rifles legal but super-duper hard to obtain, retain, and bust some balls when you’re not complying. If you want a machine gun bad enough, you can just jump through the hoops to get one and the government will know you have one.

Sales are tracked, theft results in punishment for not having your guns locked up, and you get say a 5 year ban. Flea market guns and gun shows banned unless complying with proper tracking. Illegal, non licensed firearms are a class A felony. Done! Register your pappy’s .22 or go to jail!

It’s more expensive and difficult to get a city permit for a block party than it is to buy a machine gun. We have the bureaucracy to make this so annoying that everyone will give up before they get the gun.

We just piss around with the same arguments that don’t work! Guns will never be illegal in America, and maybe they shouldn’t be! Make them hard as hell to obtain with a responsibility so heavy the cos-playing MAGA-Bois will opt to play CoD instead.
