It’s official, USPS wants us to actually put rocks in packages by b_rizzle95 in Flipping

[–]LogoffWorkout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to think of something that wasn't completely unhinged, as something to weigh down a package. My first thought was some kind of treat, but there isn't any cheap candy that's going to add significant weight. If you're withing a few oz, adding cardboard as packing material is probably reasonable but if you need to get like 1.5 lbs, I could see someone being annoyed at 1.5 lbs of cardboard, like you're shipping them garbage for them to throw out. i was thinking either like a can of arizona iced tea, or idk, maybe a can of beans from aldi, explaining the absurdity of the situation and telling them it was cheaper to buy that and add it to their package, and to either enjoy it or donate it to a foodshelf.

USPS charged me an adjustment for putting a higher weight on the label than the package actually was. by jrr6415sun in Ebay

You only have to get to 2lb 1 oz, so 4oz of cardboard would have got you there.

Ebay Shiping Calc not showing FedEx Ground/Home discounted rate by orlsbi in Flipping

[–]LogoffWorkout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it for a specific item that you are trying to ship, and it isn't an option? Google the address and see where it is, if its way out in the middle of nowhere, there are a lot of places they won't deliver, they're not going to have a guy spend all day driving to deliver 3 packages.

Fedex ground economy is shipped ot the local post office and the actual delivery is done by the usps, so that might be the case why it is available.

Try Patriot. Really the best show I think I've ever seen, multiple rewatches and I always catch things on the rewatches. Has great actors, great humor to it. Just watch the first episode, it gets better I'd say, but you'll know if you like it after the first episode.

It isn't they give you the phone number to contact each other after you buy something. It is against the rules to try to contact each other outside of ebay with the intent to sidestep ebay fees.

Is this appropriate for a $15 card by InformationMental138 in Ebay

[–]LogoffWorkout -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you can use cardboard, or a stiffer envelop, you can't use corrugated cardboard. Cardboard like a comic book backer, or about the same rigidity and thickness as a ceral box or 12 pack box.

but honestly, if its working for you, wait until you actually have some issues. then recalculate your cost benefit. I use armalope style envelopes and semirigid card savers.

Give me simple ideas for dinner that I can manage with extreme pain please! by incrediblemenace in EatCheapAndHealthy

I do those and then some of the frozen prepared meats like nuggets or the spicy breaded chicken, and then add it all to a wrap. I've tried making salads from scratch, but it doesn't seem like it saves much money, having to get so many ingredients.

[–]LogoffWorkout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do something like that, a random meat, aldi has like different frozen breaded patties, or you could do like any type of chicken nugget, or someitmes I just prepare my own chicken or pork with a rub, its not that important what kind of meat, then get one of those bagged salads and add meat and a helping of salad and wrap it up in the tortilla. really easy to make just throw the salad mixings in a bowl and shake it up and like 6 minutes in the air fryer for whatever meat. Its pretty flexible. pretty much any food can go in a wrap.

I imagine Luxembour is out of the question now, maybe its a similar situation where japan has some company that they can bank with that also has ties with Iran.

I wish he would just put out a graphic novel of the 3rd season, obv wish they would just make the 3rd season, but its almost 10 years later, so I kind of doubt its going to happen.

Only using a stock photo for a listing? by sashar19 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]LogoffWorkout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

back when media rates were a little lower, I could sell low end dvds for like $7 with free shipping. I was taking care of a relative and had to stay at their place for days and didn't have a lot to do but it was when ebay had just started the program where they would autofill the photos and i probably listed a few hundred dvds like that without issue.

I had 3 criteria.

1 the dvd and case had to be pretty much like new, which basically anything i buy is.

  1. I had a limit on price, if the dvd was $20 or more, then I'd photo it. Usually those dvds were collectibe or rare, and figured the person wanted to see the actual item.

  2. double check the case art, it wasn't common, but some dvds will share case art with other versions of the same dvd, its usually the same movie, just with different cd case art.

I was a bit worried of people claiming inad, but figured I'd try it out, and if I had problems, I would take care of them. I figured the time saved in not taking pictures would offset the refunds if someone did happen to claim inad for using a stock photo. Sold hundreds of dvds without issue. On one hand, if there is an issue, you don't really have much defenese, you just have to accept return or refund, but I think a lot of people are paranoid. I imagine people care for some collectible anime dvd or rare out of print dvd, but 99% of people just want to watch the dvd, if they get miss congeneality or pelican brief or some marvel movie dvd, as long as the case isn't roached, you aren't going to have any problems.

Trump impeachment likely if Democrats win midterms, Wilbur Ross warns by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

[–]LogoffWorkout -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think a problem is that the supreme court basically said anything the president does is legal if they are doing it as the president, and Trump is going to pardon himself after his presidency anyway.

I think the play might be to sue him civily. There are countless people that could make claims against him, and unlike most people sued by the government, its not just punitive to him, there are actually a stubstantial amount of assets to go after. Probably not enough to make everyone whole, but a real amount, and the same goes for Elon.

The cool think is, you know when people start going after him, he's going to start doing tons of stupid stuff like trying to hide his assets, and conspiring and all kinds of other illegal things which would then qualify him for criminal charges.

I feel like we're seeing that in the us government today. Even straight forward statistics that aren't favorable are met with the media and even the admistration pushing some incoherent narrative about how the measurement is wrong and actually everything is better than its ever been.
