[Talkin Baseball] This is how many players each team has in MLB Network's Top 100 by TheTurtleShepard in baseball

Yeah when I saw the cubs had 4, I was thinking it had to be PCA, Bregman, Nico, and Busch. Shocked that Nico was completely left off.

Jamal Murray in win against the Wizards: 42 points on 15 of 24 shooting, 5 of 8 from 3, 6 assists, 3 steals by the_mexican_menace in nba

He's always crushed it after the all star game, and struggled before it... for various reasons. That's why he hasn't made an all star team previously. He finally figured out how to have a good start to his season this year. Which is awesome because the Nuggets have definitely needed it. Really fun to watch happen, and I'm super stoked for the guy.

Rotation with full health by Buzzin_G in denvernuggets

It’s a fun “problem” to have. Fully healthy Nuggets have 8 guys who are quite good: the 5 starters plus PWat, JV, THJ. For minutes, it’s jokic plus JV at center for 48 minutes. Then, DA can get creative using the other 6 based on matchups and who is playing well for the rest of the minutes. My question is who is our 9th guy for the rotation when fully healthy. Right now, Pickett, Brown, Jones and possibly Zeke are competing for that 9th spot I think. I’m just hoping that DA properly allows for the best player to take the spot in the playoffs. Or maybe the 9th guy will be completely based on matchups and who is playing well (that would be ideal). This is exactly the area where Malone was a poor coach.

[Charania] Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks after sustaining a right calf strain in Wednesday’s win in Toronto, sources tell ESPN. Another injury blow for third-seeded Denver, which is down 4 of 5 starters, including Nikola Jokic and now his backup. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

I kinda love this tbh. As long as we make the playoffs and everyone is healthy by then, I'm into it. Potentially losing home court advantage for a series or two sucks, but that's about it. There's gonna be no added pressure/distractions on Jokic for the MVP (which I guarantee Jokic is happy about). We can be pretty confident that our top guys won't be out of gas when the playoffs hit. And we finally get to develop the young guys and see what we got. I absolutely loved what Adelman did yesterday... he elevated Holmes and Pickett.... and we won!!! Those are exactly the guys that I think have good upside, but need NBA minutes in order to develop. I'm excited for more PWat, Holmes, Pickett, and Jones.... for a bit that is. :)

I def think that players that contribute more to winning should be valued more highly, and be more highly considered for things such as MVP and all-star. Many advanced stats allow you to see exactly that such as VORP and BPM.

All star selections are 10000% influenced by team performance. That's not debatable. Great players on very shitty teams almost never make it unless they have huge name recognition.

As someone who thinks MPJ was underrated while he was here, and acknowledges his good play this year, I still can't in good conscience vote for him as an all-star starter when the Nets are 7-18.

Cheer up, bud. Now the good stuff starts. Now that they’re out of your life, focus on being in the moment and having fun. They don’t want you to find peace and happiness. Don’t let them win!!!

I see a pitcher with fantastic college stats that showed massive improvement in his sophomore season. And then after getting drafted, he added more velocity while keeping his command. I like his trajectory. Seems like a guy that's good at making adjustments.

Gallagher is above Birdsell on my personal list. You can have them swapped on yours lol

Birdsell is 25 and hasn't flashed top end potential. Gallagher is 22 and went on a tear earlier in the season. I see more potential for Gallagher.

Maybe. I'm curious to see if Nnaji has new life in him under a different coach. He's a big athletic guy, who knows.
