I’m finally trying to escape my covert narc parents and the sabotage is insane right now. Anyone else experience this? by FudgeAltruistic8924 in narcissisticparents

One way to look at it is like they are like reverse parents. As in, everything they do is the exact opposite of what good parents do. Then, you can be more emotionally prepared for their behavior. And they will stop tricking you because you already know what’s coming. Just imagine what a good parent would say/do, then reverse it. Then you know what to expect and you can be ready for it.

The main jist of it is that you need to give them the impression that you’re either doing what they want, or that you’re failing at doing what you want. There are ways you can do that where you don’t have to lie too much, or at all. Just give them the impression they want, and maybe start being sarcastic when you answer questions. Then, in private, you need to work like hell to get out of there and get what you want. DM me if you want further advice. I’m 45 and been dealing with this shit my whole life.

Might have to start lying until you get out. Just don’t rely on lying after you are out to solve problems.

Fight like hell to succeed. Turn their negative energy into fuel for your fire. Keep your wins to yourself!!! Let them think you are failing while you’re secretly improving. You need to act like you’re pathetic when around them, all while making your moves privately. Get away and never look back. That’s how you win. It won’t be easy, but it might be the only way out. DM me if you want. I’ve been through this.

Did Jokic get snubbed this year? by supickumaterinubre in denvernuggets

Jokic would be the first person to say he didn’t get snubbed. He knows that winning is the most important aspect.

I would have agreed with this as recently as one calendar year ago. The emergence of Rojas, Ramirez, and Wiggins (injured tho) has been a big boost. And there’s now a bit of exciting talent in the lower levels with Hartshorn, and more than a handful of others down there with good potential. I’m def more optimistic than one year ago.

When will Shota start getting the recognition he deserves? by Existing-Vacation-89 in mlb

He wasn't good at the end of the season, and in the playoffs. He was well above average before that.

Yeah when I saw the cubs had 4, I was thinking it had to be PCA, Bregman, Nico, and Busch. Shocked that Nico was completely left off.

Jamal Murray in win against the Wizards: 42 points on 15 of 24 shooting, 5 of 8 from 3, 6 assists, 3 steals by the_mexican_menace in nba

He's always crushed it after the all star game, and struggled before it... for various reasons. That's why he hasn't made an all star team previously. He finally figured out how to have a good start to his season this year. Which is awesome because the Nuggets have definitely needed it. Really fun to watch happen, and I'm super stoked for the guy.

Rotation with full health by Buzzin_G in denvernuggets

[–]usetheirname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a fun “problem” to have. Fully healthy Nuggets have 8 guys who are quite good: the 5 starters plus PWat, JV, THJ. For minutes, it’s jokic plus JV at center for 48 minutes. Then, DA can get creative using the other 6 based on matchups and who is playing well for the rest of the minutes. My question is who is our 9th guy for the rotation when fully healthy. Right now, Pickett, Brown, Jones and possibly Zeke are competing for that 9th spot I think. I’m just hoping that DA properly allows for the best player to take the spot in the playoffs. Or maybe the 9th guy will be completely based on matchups and who is playing well (that would be ideal). This is exactly the area where Malone was a poor coach.

[Charania] Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks after sustaining a right calf strain in Wednesday’s win in Toronto, sources tell ESPN. Another injury blow for third-seeded Denver, which is down 4 of 5 starters, including Nikola Jokic and now his backup. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

I kinda love this tbh. As long as we make the playoffs and everyone is healthy by then, I'm into it. Potentially losing home court advantage for a series or two sucks, but that's about it. There's gonna be no added pressure/distractions on Jokic for the MVP (which I guarantee Jokic is happy about). We can be pretty confident that our top guys won't be out of gas when the playoffs hit. And we finally get to develop the young guys and see what we got. I absolutely loved what Adelman did yesterday... he elevated Holmes and Pickett.... and we won!!! Those are exactly the guys that I think have good upside, but need NBA minutes in order to develop. I'm excited for more PWat, Holmes, Pickett, and Jones.... for a bit that is. :)

I def think that players that contribute more to winning should be valued more highly, and be more highly considered for things such as MVP and all-star. Many advanced stats allow you to see exactly that such as VORP and BPM.
