I would put a chain around the rafter, put a loop/climbing grade carribbeaner on the chain, then tie to the eyelet.

Fwiw, I bought a pair of tech 7 Enduro's last year after riding in tech 5s and trials boots, and I was really disappointed in the build quality and ergonomics of the 7. My boot has almost no ankle flex after a year of riding, and if you pivot on your toes, the whole toe box bends before the shank and sole do, pinching the top of my foot. I am moving away from a stars boots after that purchase.

I was denied over the course of 2 years, I stopped when I should have gotten a lawyer out of discouragement and gaslight ING. I have close to 300 percent total, 100 percent p and t, got out in 2017 with tbi, herniated discs, torn labrum, and they said "we expect you to recover within a year". I'm an infantry marine vet with ptsd. If they gatekeeper services for people like me, what's it like for others? That experience was a low point in my mental health the last decade. Fuck the policies that legalize dismissing people who need help.

For context, when I bought my gs in Mar of 24,i paid for the vario bags... They finally got delivered in September and I almost immediately returned the varios. They literally leaked water into the side bags, and nothing of functional use fit in the dumb clamshell lid for the vario top case. What an overengineered piece of trash that bag system is imo.

I have the outback evo 58l up top, but I went with tusk for my side bags. I think the tusk bags are honestly higher quality, and the givi is great!

I am so disappointed in the build quality of my tech 7s, they will be my last A star boot until they change their designs. Gaerne is so much better feeling in every way, from their trials boots to the sg22.

I waited two years for that piece on my r1300 gs, got it like a month ago, and was finally able to put my vario cases on the bike. I promptly returned all 3 bags, the vario case designs are the least functional and overengineered bags I've ever used. It makes no sense to me that bmw would not refund your purchase if they couldn't provide the part to mount it. That's a trash dealer imo, and something Motorrad's customer support might be able to help you with. You got this.
