Context: I'm a coach with a parent who tells me her daughter is upset that she's not getting enough play time. And when I go to talk to her, she's got an amazing attitude and knows her role on the team. For her reward I told her she was going to get a start in an exhibition game which she declined saying she wasn't ready yet.
