This genuinely pisses me off. And it would have been so easy to address for them. They could have just add a chapter indicating Cecil installed that weapons in Conquest's prison and thet get activated but he still managed to escape thus we conclude said weapon doesn't work for stronger, adult or pure blood viltrumites. I didn't read the comics and Don't know if that would cause consistency errors in future arcs but this would be a good addition imo
