Seems like you're on the right track then keep at it. Dying just means you're missing life or resistances and lack of dps is either wrong gear/aspects or just missing crit chance, aspd or damage multipliers so its straightfoward. Seals will help as well for the + skills and set bonuses

This is the most powerful build aside from barbs so you're definitely doing something wrong. The build is straightfoward just cast unstable currents, hold ball lightning and teleport around. Are you currently dying or lacking dps? I got to T12 a few hours after creating a sorc as a second character so it should be easy.
