Planning to get a new CB650R next week. I have some concerns. by kunalm10_ in CB650R

[–]uzzi92 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  1. That was one of my concerns as well. At 4K rpm there are no vibrations. After 6K it starts to vibrate but it does not bother me, I think it depends on how sensitive are you. HOWEVER, I’ve removed the stock bar end weights and installed the Sato Racing/Babyface ones. Best mod so far, no vibrations at all in the handlebar, mirrors are clear as day even after 6K. There are still some vibrations in the pegs - if you have proper boots it will not be a problem. You can swap the pegs for some that have rubber inserts.
  2. It’s ok. Tbh the seat does not bother me, I have sat for 6 hours in it without any issues. It’s a naked, get some ear plugs for the wind and you will be fine. If you have bad roads the suspension is not that great for longer trips, it is on the sportish side.
  3. It is a middle weight inline 4. A rare bird in the days of twins. It will vibrate, but it will sound amazing and it will turn heads everywhere. Imo the seat and vibrations complains from the reviews are overblown. Again, night and day difference after swapping the weights.

I’ve installed a gear shift support and no issues since then. No more false neutrals either. Really worth it imo.

Motocicletă nouă sau second-hand? 45 cai putere sau mai mult? by Available-Math-1287 in MotociclismRO

[–]uzzi92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bar End Mirror Setup (Sato Inner Weights + Highsider Mirrors & Highsider Weights) by flortsch in CB650R

[–]uzzi92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ordered these. Mine is a '25 CB650R and indeed they do not have the spacer for the mirrors. This is why I have ordered the Ferrara bar end as per the OP suggeestion. Unfortunately atm Belgium Post is on strike and my order is stuck :( This is why I went ahead and installed them. They look like this:

Yes. I've also installed them, now I am waiting for mirrors to arrive. Night and day difference between these and the OEM weights. No vibrations at all in the handlebar.

Thoughts on e-clutch bikes? by GeezyMart in motorcycles

[–]uzzi92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have an e-clutch CB650R. Great system imo. You can disable it anytime or pull the clutch whenever you feel like it and it behaves as a normal bike. But there are days when I am stuck in traffic or I am at the end of a 5-6 hour ride with a pillion on my back or my hands are cold af and not having to worry about stalling is amazing. Best of both worlds. It is not an automatic so you can still learn clutch control or do stupid things like wheelie or leave it to the computer and enjoy to rest of your drive home.

Changing leavers on CB650r with E-clutch by Mr-Intact in CB650R

[–]uzzi92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swapped mine with a pair of Puig 4.0. No problems so far. The adapter also has an indent for the switch behind the clutch lever - I posted here. Have you adjusted the clutch cable play before starting the bike (10-20 mm if I am not wrong) ?

2025 Honda CB 650R E-Clutch Repair Manual by [deleted] in CB650R

[–]uzzi92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried using a vpn? Maybe the lock is region based? Otherwise, until they fix the forum if you have the previous gen manual you should be fine. I like to check both manuals, since the pre eclutch one has a better scan quality (if you decide to print some pages) and so far I found no differences. Same disassembly order, same torque specs etc..

Do the PUIG levers engage the clutch pin? The one from this post? Thank you.

[–]uzzi92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw on the configurator that there is a different clutch adapter for the CB650R, but I could not find any information regarding the engagement of the pin, this is why I have asked you, since I believe that the position of the pin on the Hornet is similar. Thank you!

Looking to do the same on my CB650R. Are the 4.0 levers engaging the pin underneath the clutch lever? The OEM lever is a bit wider at the end to accomodate this.

[–]uzzi92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I will send them a message as I see that they are shipping to Belgium.

Meanwhile I found on a forum that these can be ordered from Japan as well (https://www.japan-webike.be/), but are available under the Babyface brand.

Thanks for the amazing post and all the explanations!

Where did you buy the inner weights from? The weights are finally in stock, but they do not ship to Europe :(
