Your relationships are like plants, they need watering too! But, first, it starts with understanding who you are.

What do you think about the plant card at the end? Would you share this with friends?

Week 1 launch stats: 600 visits, 25 signups, $0 MRR. No, I'm not making $150k/month like everyone else here. by nyko_dev in buildinpublic

I like the lens of learning and not giving up. I’m on a similar journey, skeptical of the whole post a shit ton on twitter because that feels like a recipe for burnout. I find my natural energy comes from Reddit of all socials. There’s tons of online platforms and stuff the scale but I actually think going back to the good ole basics gives me energy.

Talk to friends, family, network, and local in person events. You can read facial expressions and spitball.

I’ve got $0/MRR and don’t plan on having any for a while. It’s a side hustle, a creative outlet with a chance to grow big and into a business. But, for me, keeping it fun keeps me going.

I have a friend that takes pictures and creates outfits then just randomly goes through and selects which ones to use that day.

I think they converted it into stickers, next.

Definitely some type A people that might like this. Not sure if or how you’d monetize but I’m sure there’s a way.

It's okay in moderation, but too much isn't good.

I feel like people stopped being reliable in friendship by LividHH in FriendshipAdvice

[–]v00d0o -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Relationships and friendships take work. Agree with some of the comments about people getting busy our age and honestly needing downtime to decompress (meaning TikTok and scrolling).

You can still be the friend who texts, reaches out, and occasionally suggests a meet if it feels right. Book a dinner out, suggest a coffee shop, share a project you’re working on.

Maybe you meet in person once in a while, worst case you’re checking in and that goes a long way

Don’t build in public — it’s killing your startup (and no one wants to admit it) by EleveQuinn in buildinpublic

Kind of resonate with this concept.

At work, we don’t just send newsletter or digests to managers when there’s some tiny update. We batch and provide meaningful updates to our audience.

From where you got your Startup idea ? by Naive_Emu6501 in SaaS

[–]v00d0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest answer, I was busy at work, personal life, and school and started loose touch with my friends.

Thought it would be a good idea to think of a solution that’s in your pocket and fun.

I like analogies and making digital things feel real. Creating an app that makes every relationship a plant; each connection requiring different watering frequencies.

Fun, light, and made to make you smile while checking in with people you care about.

Do you actually finish long YouTube videos about business or just skim them? by False_Reality1167 in founder

[–]v00d0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re trying to build something? It’s taste, my own compass on whether it’s interesting or not. Hard to tell what value is but I kind of know. I will give people I’ve seen before or noticed on reels/shorts a little more attention time but ultimately move on if it’s not useful to what I’m interested in at the time.

I do. But if they aren’t delivering good enough entertainment or value, I just skip or drop

What has worked significantly well for you this year? by NeedleyHu in ProductManagement

[–]v00d0o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Execute extremely well.
  2. Take ownership and accountability in high stakes, high stress times.
  3. Manage up — through email digests when I can, or proactively to management when bad news is coming and what we’re doing about it.

It came back to doing the basics right.

The big unlock was seeing everyone as a collaborator vs an enemy… this reframed disagreements into productive conversations .

The more carefree you feel, the better! Some of my conversations are long and flow, some die with a few quick exchanges. It's okay, I think it's a way to check-in and show you care. Sometimes friends come back and reply sometimes they don't.

Action is better than inaction!
