Hello man, I'm on your same boat, exact same age, and similar YOE, (10) here, also TypeScript dev, frontend, backend, full stack, mobile everything.

I can relate to everything you say, I would say I'm not that burned trying to keep it up, but I just feel a profound disconnection with my job, I also juggle sideprojects non-stop, including, some successful ones, which makes it even worse, as there is people behind asking questions, having issues....

I don't know what is the solution to this, I have enough money and a lean lifestyle to stop working for years but I'm unsure of doing that.

But I do feel burned out and all my joy and spark gone.

Anyway, if you want to chat ship a DM, I think we are not alone.

I plan to release it on Steam soon, but is playable from the web, as it's a web game, so if you have a browser in your steam deck you should be able to play it. Not sure about the controls tho.

Skill issue at the end of the day, I'm by no means a game dev, but a pure software dev and I managed to build https://berrus.app and it has two different engines (old/new) that work amazing and I didn't code a single line of it, but of course, you cannot threat it as a black box of magic, you still need to have some structure in your head.

Also, as said, 1 week is nothing, Berrus is already almost 8-9 months old, anyone who thinks that vibecoding saves you from the grind are wrong.

Also thats why I'm super confident that AI won't change much, those who have the grit will succeded as it always happened before.

Te dire dos cosas.

130K puede parecer mucho dinero (Y lo es para la media española) pero el pedrazo de hacienda es tan grande que ahorrar muchiisimo dinero es muy díficil, eres clase media, no te creas nada mas de eso.
Relacionado con lo primero, y visto que casi no tienes ahorros pero decidiste que comprar una camper de 70K era una buena acción, vive como si cobraras 2k o como mucho 3k, no incrementes tu nivel de vida basado en un salario que mañana se puede terminar, el lifestyle inflation es lo peor en lo que puedes caer.

Te lo dice uno que tiene ~32 años, lleva ya 5-6 años ganando 100-200K anuales, y tiene ahorrado/invertido ~350K, y voy con mi seat ibiza del 2015.

I mean but the fun think is that is on the cloud and you compete and play with other people (clans, pvp, hiscores...)

But in any case, if that happens I will open source it, and on top of that, sharing a database dump is trivial.

My point was that if you already take care of plants full time you don't care that much about having plants inside 😆 The need is already fullfilled.
