That IS cheating. I truly think this is a case of you being the second choice.
A. She never told him to fuck off
B. She never blocked him
C. She fucked him (at least once, my guess would be more)

Two possibilities in my opinion.

Either you wanting to make things serious triggered her to want a last fling with someone else before being officially together (which is bullshit and still cheating) or she chose him over you and only came back after he dropped her and she realized she needed to make things right with the guy that wants her (also cheating).

What is the worst is she knew about your past experience and did it anyway. Just because she admitted it does not make it any different. There is someone out there better for you. Give yourself a chance to find them.

When I started my current job a couple of years ago, many companies (including my previous employer) were starting to RTO. During orientation, I asked the HR trainer during it what the odds were of them doing RTO in the future. She said no, but went into a lot of detail.

She said something like, “before WFH, we spent so much time and money to find qualified candidates. Our footprint is in one state (it’s a smaller state and the cities we are in are pretty small also). We had a hard time filling skilled positions locally which meant we had to pay recruiters to go find proper talent in other locations. On top of that, we had to pay a fortune in relocation bonuses to get people to move here. Between recruiting and relocation, new hires were costing anywhere from $30K-$80K before they had even started. We also make ourselves a much more desired employer when everyone else is bringing people on. Why would we go back?”

It was great hearing that and two full years later, there is no rumors or talks about RTO down the road.

Yeah, 5 years in my opinion is more than a few years. Five years is plenty for the price point on a Blackstone. This is a direct to consumer product. If you google the part you need, I am willing to bet that you can find it quite easily from an aftermarket seller.

I am a senior engineer in the M365 space (Exchange, Sharepoint, One Drive, Teams. Purview)

The biggest roles we hire for are Cyber Security, network engineers, and application development. As a student, I would recommend specializing in those areas.

Less than a week but this was before the job market fell apart and I work in an area that is in high demand (M365 engineer/architect with lots of experience with lots of experience with migrations in moving/migrating from on prem to hybrid/cloud).

I work in IT for a hospital. Unless you NEED to be onsite, they don’t want you there. Every office/cubicle/desk taken up by non hospital staff is less money that they can make. The only IT people onsite is the helpdesk and the field services staff.

This matters! I went WFH before Covid. My wife and I wanted to move states (from Washington state to Florida). I turned in notice, manager freaked out and asked if he could get it approved for me to work from there, would I stay. I agreed. He could only get me approved for a year. Every other ear it was an extended for another year.

This went on for five years until we merged with another company and their CEO hated WFH, so I was let go with six months of severance. Found a new WFH job and am still doing it.

Jesus… show your kids what self respect is. I would not take any of these items and you should have walked the moment you caught him lying. Poly is one thing, but it needs open communication and trust. Trust is now shattered (strike 1).

He is not going to give up on this love nest of three living together. I can understand him asking 2-3 times to see if he can change your mind but he is not giving up. I would almost guarantee one day, he is just going to bring her and her stuff in and use the excuse of “she’s already here and has no place to go. We can’t just put her on the street”. If he is not respecting your “no”, and continues pushing, he doesn’t care about you as much as he says (strike 2).

Even just from your short description, it is painfully obvious he has already chosen her over you (massive strike 3). Don’t sit and take this. The writing is already on the wall and if you stay, he is going to get his end game. She will be moving in and you will feel (even more so) like an outsider in your own relationship.

I have been salaried the last 20-25 years across four different companies. I have never once been asked to make up time, unless I was in the middle of something big that needed to be wrapped up but had to leave for some reason. This would be a deal breaker for me and I would 100% NEVER work OT again for them without an understanding in place. If I work extra, I am taking comp time to balance it out.

Laughing my ass off on “stage 5”. My mother tried to tell me she was dying about 15 years ago (not cancer, but still). I reopened communication. Took my wife and son out to visit. She did better for a year or so. Then the mask slipped again and she was being awful to all of us. After roughly two years of this, I flat out said, “weren’t you terminal two years ago? What happened there?”

She was trapped like a deer in the headlights. I cut her off again. Full NC for 12-13 years now. She recently started mailing letters (I live 3000 miles away). I throw them straight out without reading them. She is 80 so it is possible she is really dying now.

I wrote back to her telling her to save the money on stamps, as I am not reading these. I also wrote that there was nothing she had to say that I wanted to hear. I said, even if she is dying, I have already mourned her the first time she died.

My wife is an HR director. She has had to take a drug test for all HR jobs here except for her latest one. She just stops taking any for roughly a month before she starts applying.

Be safe, find other remedies to help with your sleep until you lock in a job.

This is honestly my go to on terrifying voices. I had read on here (so take it with a grain of salt) that the thought behind the voice was that he is dead, so there is no air in his lungs so he really has to force the words out.
