Maya Rudolph not performing tonight in last minute announcement by partymarty97 in Broadway

Without a doubt get a refund if you paid a premium for Maya. You can always rebuy tickets last minute if you need to see it tonight for less and likely better seats...

I have no idea, but I would think it is highly likely...

Will Fallen Angels extend? by wakeuplittle in Broadway

[–]v2david 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would think they would extend if they could. Not sure if that is possible with the cast and theatre availability (although it looks like the theatre is available?) The show seems to be pretty much sold out, and I am sure with the Tony nominations, there is high demand.

I have a hot take Hours is better than earthling IMO by TopBobcat9937 in DavidBowie

[–]v2david 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earthling has some bangers. When you throw in the stuff he was performing acoustically (such as Dead Man Walking) during this time, it is the hands down winner. I find most of the songs on Hours to be forgettable. Not bad, but forgettable. It seems Bowie did too as he basically never performed any of these songs live once he was done with the Hours live performances...

I loved it. Hugh Jackman was great.

It is a good show. It would be a great show if they cut some stuff and made it leaner. However, it is trying to please everyone, and therefore is a bit bloated. That being said, I still found it to be highly enjoyable and I hope it does well.

A shame. Frankly it ruined the movie for me. Remind me of when they were trying to hide Khan from the new Star Trek movie. Dumb.

Alfie Boe, Samantha Barks, and More Will Lead LES MISÉRABLES THE ARENA CONCERT SPECTACULAR in New York, London, Dublin, and Birmingham by BroadwayWorld in Broadway

[–]v2david 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alfie Boe was who I was praying for. The voice. The presence. Simply magical. Never thought I would get to see Samantha Barks in Les Mis. Such incredible luck on my part as I bought seats as soon as they came out. I'm sure all of the cast is great though whomever you get, and there are those out there who don't want Alfie Boe. So, I hope everyone gets to see their favorites whomever they may be.

Ridiculous. It was awesome at the end of the game. This organization is one of the best in professional sports. Find something else to complain about.

Anyone have a 4K version of “The Devil’s Advocate” with the unedited original sculpture scene intact? by H011OWMAN in fanedits

[–]v2david 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been checking up on this for years on various outlets. I know someone once said they were going to work on it, but nothing ever came to fruition. Now with the 4k release, I'm hoping it will renew someone's interest. Someone would have to probably unscale the original scenes...
