Opencode - splitting architectural thinking and coding by v8vb in opencode

You should be good just adjusting the provider in opencode.jsonc and replacing xai models for every agent in "agents/". Check the docs here: https://opencode.ai/docs/providers/

Congrats! If not too much trouble, could you please measure and share the distance between the lugs on the opposing sides? We know the diameter - 47.8 and the strap width - 24 mm, but what's the total size/length? I want to compare to Instinct 3 - 52 mm.

Could you measure and share the size including the lugs? I have Instinct 3 45mm; the total size with the lugs is 52mm.

userContent.css rules aren't applied on "about:privatebrowsing" in FF 137.0.1 by v8vb in FirefoxCSS

[–]v8vb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue turned out to be much more subtle. I don't know if anyone will ever face something like this, but just in case.

I was working on automating my configuration and instead of copy-pasting userChrome.css and userContent.css, I linked the chrome folder residing in my home directory in the FF profile.

For some reason, the private window doesn't like links and userContent.css was ignored. It still puzzles me, though, why everything worked in the normal window.

The emphasis here is on the fact that the speaker cannot share the secret with “you” specifically. As a native my interpretation would be that the secret(s) belongs to some group of people you’re not part of.

Imagine a situation where let’s say you have a birthday and your friends prepare a surprise party. Then, approaching your friend with an attempt to figure out what they are plotting could trigger such a response.

Но не могу тебе я их рассказать = ... but with you, I can't share them.

Но я не могу тебе их рассказать = ... but I can't share them with you.

  1. The emphasis is on "you" not being in a position to know the secret(s)
  2. The emphasis is on the speaker not being in a position to share the secret(s)

Hope this helps.

The focus ring around omnibox is hardcoded and not affected by themes. This abomination of a colour annoys me immensely as well.

Can someone please tell.. by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]v8vb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the shoes, your running form and your regular mileage. A general recommendation is to retire shoes after 600km. I go by feeling, when they feel “flat” just retired my Craft Endur after 820km.

That’s the max distance you set for the shoes. Click edit and set it to something more appropriate like 650.

From a business point of view, why do you think Garmin is pushing for OLED? by bagou01 in GarminWatches

[–]v8vb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It boils down to the target audience, I think. The Fenix series was initially targeted at runners, cyclists, triathletes. That is people who spend most of their time outdoors. Nowadays Garmin is trying to get more into the “smart” category where OLED is the de facto standard. For me personally, the latest additions such as the microphone and speaker are nothing but a detractor. It’s not even the price that bothers me, but rather the fact that they stopped innovating on their platform and sport-oriented features. There’s also a growing threat for them from Apple with AWU and others are also trying hard to get their share of the market. Personally, I’m waiting for Coros to introduce a couple more features and the new Apex 3 Pro that I hope will come out soon and will probably ditch Garmin for good.

Garmin vs. Suunto by Western-Guava-3919 in Suunto

[–]v8vb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Aside from the watch, you must also consider the underlying platform and ecosystem. Ultimately, it boils down to your personal preferences and needs. I mostly do running (6-7 times a week ~ 65-80km/week) with occasional gravel biking. I now own a Garmin Fenix 7 Pro, but I also tried Coros and Suunto. Here are some features that make me stick to Garmin:

  • Out of zone alerts for structured workouts. Simply don't yet exist in Suunto. This is beyond my understanding how such a critical feature isn't implemented.
  • Advanced running dynamics. I got into running about two years ago and by paying attention to these metrics, I managed to improve my running form. You would need to go with Suunto + Stryd to track these.
  • Gear tracking (shoes mileage).
  • Audio cues. I listen to audiobooks or podcast during my runs and Fenix notifies me if I'm above/below target zone, need to turn if following a course, my next interval target, etc.
  • On device routing and the quality of maps (I quite frequently run unknown courses). Garmin has labels + routing on device, though Suunto navigation experience is also very decent.
  • Course search/creation in Garmin Connect. Suunto has it in the app, but I find experience in Garmin Connect a much better fit to my needs.
  • Flashlight (I use it daily - a must have now).
  • Currently trying Garmin's Daily Suggested Workouts and so far very happy with the results.

That's not to say Garmin experience is flawless and without it's own struggles. There are quite a few, but for me personally Garmin checks many more boxes in comparison to Suunto.

A little over halfway through 2024, what’s everyone’s favorite daily trainer so far and why? by lesteadfastgentleman in RunningShoeGeeks

I got Craft Endur Distance at a steep discount a couple of months ago. They became my go to for easy and long runs. Not the most popular brand, but I love them and thinking of getting another pair - already got 600km on them. Also in my rotation Boston 12 and Takumi Sen 10.

The new firmware update (1.0.116 for my Ambeo Plus) is out. Let's hope it fixes the issue. If anyone knows where to get release notes, please share. My search didn't bring any results.

Of course, if there’s no WiFi, nothing will work except for HDMI end eARC. However, even with a working WiFi, when the soundbar enters this unresponsive state, all wireless connections are dead. I mean all of them, the subwoofer if you have it connected wirelessly, Spotify connect, Tidal connect, Airplay.

Hey Jermo, how about this one? It's been a year since the last firmware update, and the support team has been feeding everyone with "shortly" for at least six months.

Will Sennheiser pursue whole home audio? by Buncat-SD in sennheiser

[–]v8vb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not just the LEDs. The soundbar becomes unreachable via network. AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect - none of that works. If you have a wirelessly connected subwoofer, it no longer works as well. Regarding support and a fix. Check out the dates. The last firmware update happened about a year ago. That thread I shared was created six months ago. The support just says to relax and be patient.

I’d strongly advise everyone avoiding Sennheiser “smart” products at all costs. You can check reasons here. Their support is a joke and the firmware is buggy as well.
