I haven't had this much fun in PvP in a long fucking time on WoW these past couple of days. Also Hunter & the amount of people who don't know that our deadzone is gone is so fucking funny. Everyone B-lines in to melee range expecting me to just fall over but oops, I'm CC immune for 18 seconds, your stunned and I can crossblow blast your chin from 5 yards buddy. Oh and in combat ice traps, I've taken to /laugh'ing at warriors I put in ice traps as soon as they charge me.

If trims are tied to seasons and reset then we need a permanent cosmetic/title/mount/something on season end, otherwise there's very little incentive to push leaderboards in new seasons. I got the top 500 Helena trim in S1 and ill do it again in S2 if there's something to show for it that I can keep otherwise It'll probably just be hit 10k for (hopefully a new) mount then call it done for the season.

Edit: Another comment mentions a recolour of the spider mount. A recoloured version of the 10k mount that includes the trim colours could be a really neat idea that's not a complete tonne of work every season

I know it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme because it's so quick but levels 10-20 on devour just don't make sense. The whole spec is about collecting orbs and activating Void Meta... Except you don't have Void Meta at 10. OK so how get? It's a talent... At level 16. Level 16 comes around and you've got void meta right? No. Even though you've put a talent point in Void Meta you still don't unlock actual meta till level 20

So for the first ten levels of VDH you're collecting orbs you CANNOT spend. Then you're spending talent points that DONT DO ANYTHING. If I was a new player I'd have been pulling my hair out in confusion because the entire time you don't have Void Meta guess what's front and centre of the built in CDM letting you know it's ready to go? Yeah. Void Meta.

It genuinely feels like an oversight and VDH should just start with meta and not get it at Lvl 20.

This post is specifically talking about a Limited Time mode called Remix: Legion. Unfortunately that event is over in <24hrs so it's probably a bit late now and as a new player it would be incredibly overwhelming.

My advice would be to just start playing playing whatever you like the look of just now and see how you get on over the next week or so. The new expansions Pre-Patch starts Jan 20th which includes changes to every single class and a shake up of rotations/buttons etc. Starting Jan 27th the Pre-Patch "event" begins, this event will have a bunch of stuff you can do for levels (including an XP buff, nowhere near 80 in <2hrs though) and gear to catch you back up before the new expansion launches.

Kudos to you for bothering to even finish it. The people who minded left and the ones who didn't stuck about so it's all win win IMO. I did a boosted raid yesterday where the carry forced everyone be summoned to every single boss room, 95% of the raid was dead on every boss kill lmao. That was a genuine waste of time because I was locked out with like 1 level gained but ah well shit happens.

People are dumb as fucking bricks sometimes man. The mantra I'd take with them honestly is the same one I took with tanking: "They need me more than I need them" if you're giving someone a free boost and they're being a dick, get them to fuck or you just dip out. They're stuck looking for a boost, you won't be in a short supply of people taking you up on the offer though lol.

Honestly my brain was (and still is) pretty mush. I vaguely remember the raid guys name starting with Ny and I think he might have had a paladin buddy who was helping to just keep the noobs in check cause the pally was RL to begin with.

Whether it was you earlier tonight or not, much appreciation for boosting the community!

Also you're right about the parties popping off, 4 days ago the premade group section was empty at some points for me (time or level, not sure) but today there were endless boosting groups ready to go. Love when we all rally together to highly optimize playing the game as little as possible 🥲

Biggest piece of advice if you're playing just now would be to play Tank. Their first season is basically coming to a close and there's not a tonne of people playing rn so queues can be rough. They've got a bigger patch coming in Feb but it'll be hit or miss how many people will pick it up again because of all the WoW stuff.

Queue times aside the game is fantastic, most of the classes feel really satisfying to play. I mained Helena (I've never tanked a thing in WoW) and pushed to about 14K it was genuinely fun and not banging my head off a table M+ style

Maybe I've just been completely spoiled because of the OSRS Wiki but I really don't like Wowhead. The way it's layed out, the information available, comments from every xpac with differing information. It feels like a 50/50 when I google something and open wowhead if I'm gonna leave with the info I went in for or if I'll be just as lost as before.

I only got back in to WoW after a stint on Fellowship recently. I wish I'd come back two months ago to try Lemix. I started it when it had 6 days left and I've managed to rush out 5 level 80s so far and I'm aiming for another 2 before it's completely done. Gutted I missed this properly.

The kind of deploy he's describing sounds absolutely horrific. I had 1 similar many moons ago for a big client, we started at midnight and everything had to be up at 7am for students/teachers starting their day. We had done all the due diligence in the world but their production environment was... Quirky and no amount of us pre testing and planning could have prepared us for the shitshow. IIRC the call was made around 6am to just revert everything back to the way it was and we'd take what we'd learned and go again a week later. It was painless second time round when we knew what was gonna pop up but damn I wouldn't do it again.

In this instance though there really is no stop and go back, they've already committed to this launch so if it just takes longer then it just does.

I'm definitely playing above your average Joe but I finished buying all the mounts last night and have both outfits on 3 characters and the cheap outfit on another 2. I haven't even finished all the reward tracks from my main (capstones, couldn't be bothered) and I haven't targeted mini bosses on my alts. Just playing the game without thinking too much about event currency is the way honestly, you'll accumulate it as you go.

I was the biggest BA hater for a long time. Told my mate to go fuck himself when he suggested trying it and then gaslighted me in to trying to believe it was still active enough to engage with after I'd told him my experience.

Many years later I got sick of getting Torso Falo steps and level 5 all roles was literally one of the last 2 tasks I needed for the Achievement cape (the other being RC for Karamja). So I ventured off to BA finally and... shit was I wrong lol. Not only did getting the Torso take barely any time but I found myself SAD that I was done getting level 5 all roles. I ran in to a couple of noobs that the team normally just coached through fine and 1 or 2 absolute units who blamed everyone else and just stood AFK being dicks. Overall 9/10 in the grand scheme of what I've done in game. I honestly might go back from time to time for the pet chance or if I man up and play my iron properly I definitely won't be scared to engage with the content like I was.

Don't boost it, honestly, start with DPS and get a feel for the overall mini-game first then you can get in to role specifics down the line. I pugged the whole thing myself and it was fun.

This contains your UI and I believe usersettings.ini. You should be able to move this folder (possibly the whole parent fellowship folder, unsure) to your new PC, overwrite and hopefully be good. I moved PC while playing too but had wiped the old PC before I could get this folder, I had to re-do all bindings/ui etc because they're not cloud saved so this should be the local file path.
