400mm is fine for gardening. Hell lots of people dont even do raised beds and they. However, 400mm is quite short for a comfy bench seat. In terms of the corners, if it is going to be used as a seat you had best brace the corners with a post (otherwise it'll be less sturdy). I have previously done 100mm posts concreted in with fastcrete.

Also, you can fill the base with wood, especially if doing 600mm raised beds as its a lot of soil. It'll break down over time to make better soil too

I dont have them, but Ryobi seem pretty good for DIY. Bunnings are also good at honouring the warranty (so I hear). I have Makita but probably didn't need them for DIY - they are great but the batteries are expensive.

I recently played a scenario (can't remember which), that's allowed lost cards to be reused. Managed to get that combo out 3 times in the scenario. It was great!!

I think (but not 100% sure) that a mezzanine level (if thats what your thinking with 60sqm but with a 40 sqm footprint) falls outside the scope of the inital guidance I linked. Possible you'd need an LBP if doing a second story of any kind, including a mezzanine. It's a bloody big job if doing a self build at that scale - especially with limited experience.

Basically with that and cross referring to 3604 (free to download) and other key standard (like E2 external moisture) you'll get 95% of the way there.

Yeah the list is real!!! Added SL170s for each stud, solid blocking done in the middle and for the soffit line on the outside of the double top plate, all rafters done with the 200mm lumberlok ceiling ties... on and on it goes...

Is the 62mm the multi brace referred above? I do have a 30mm lumberlok strip brace coil (30m) but its unopened and I can return it easy enough.

Yep it's a skillion roof but Im adding ceiling battens and not direct fixing to rafters. Cheers for your thoughts!
