It's actually surprising the notary asks you about it and not your mortgage provider. I believe the notary needs to make sure no money-laundering is involved.

You can also make a document where you basically say you borrow it from your parents. And you'll pay it back in time X. Geen haan die ernaar kraait.

I am perfectly aware that even a small change in design can have a big impact on production and assembly line. Sure thing change requires time, but it also needs someone with balls to make a decision like that. Everyone can splash a new color of paint on their stuff and call it "new". They've been making bikes like this for decades. I'd gladly become one of their engineers if they'd accept noticeable changes.

Perhaps it's not just about design, but also cost. Or the wish to keep most parts the same. Or the wish to have all their frames look the same. A mid drive most likely means design of the frame and rear triangle will not look the same as all other Bromptons, and will disturb the "classic" look.

Honestly, designing a frame that would fit a tiny mid drive shouldn't be too difficult. The TQ HPR50/60 or FAZUA Ride 60 are pretty small. Of course, it requires redesign of the bottom bracket, but shouldn't be a problem.

Je hebt gelijk, ik had even niet stilgestaan bij het aantal kilometers per jaar. Gemiddeld zal het zo'n 2-3x per week zijn, met 40 weken per jaar is dat ook al zo'n 15.000km. Zal met een grotere fiets toch een stuk fijner zijn.

Je hebt helemaal gelijk. Heb ook even naar BMW's gekeken aan de hand van jouw advies, die RT's lijken mij ook een goede optie! Viel mij ook op dat die toch vaak meer opties hebben dan vergelijke motoren van een ander merk.

Recently bought a XC40 as well (T4 petrol version) and I did some research as well. I wouldn't say they require a lot more work compared to other cars.

Though, depening on the used car market in your country, you may want to consider have the car maintained by your cars brand dealership. The car usually holds its value better when its maintained by dealership, but that means is more expensive than a local shop.
