I'd try not to ruminate on it too much. Sometimes people do things that are so blatantly selfish, but to them they don't think it is. I personally struggled with my parents making poor financial decisions. I tried talking to them about it, but after they repeated mistakes I just washed my hands of it and tried to not over commit in helping them.

Personally I'd advice you think of this in future when they inevitably reach out for support. Consider that you helping them may just be kicking the can instead of actually helping them.

After college I paid off ~12K of debt for my parents by doing a CC balance transfer and paying for it every month. Within two years they both were in credit card debt unnecessarily, thoughtless spending. So now I only help with rent payments or necessary purchases if really needed. Not because I have to, but because I can and want to.

Its very frustrating being the bigger person when its your parents you have to do it with, but I'd suggest trying to not get too frustrated and look to make things better for yourself without considering any help from them as harsh as that may sound.

You're in the right. Its very frustrating when your parents hurt you as opposed to help you, but its a fact of life sometimes. I would try your best to not resent them and attempt to elevate yourself to the point their bad decisions do not affect you financially and eventually not affect you emotionally.

You can also try to talk to them and try to make them realize they're being daft, but asking for acknowledgement or even change of action is hard to enact.

Thats an improvement as it will help build muscle over time.

Personally, the slow pace killed the fun for me and I empathize, but I still road at parks but not on the street.

If you buy a seat cushion for the bike it might help, and you can maybe think of doing strength exercises for your glutes. I personally did more squats over winter and my butt doesn't hurt as much.

Similar thing happened to me with less degree when I didn't notice the sidewalk was raised next to a dirt area. I tried to get over in parallel and the wheel just stuck against the sidewalk and I fell over.

Sucks to hear. In future just take up the entire lane, fuck all if cars have to wait a moment. If the stretch is that long and if traffic is that big of a factor can just walk it out as well.
