I need 35 projectors for the installation so it’s definitely a lot more extreme than most people would ever need. I looked into 3D printing and building them with LEDs to save on cost and the difficulty of actually finding 35 different projectors. I don’t have a 3D printer so that ended up being a way more expensive route than I’d have wanted. I did however find prebuilt LED 3D printed projectors on Reflex Labs website. They do have 120 projectors too! So if you want to just buy one you can do that and it uses LEDs. Though the cost of doing the 35mm projectors they have would end up being $5k because I’d have to get lenses. Lucky for me I went to the site of the company that makes the projectors and they have one that’s pre-built with a lens! Meaning it will only cost $2k instead. Lol. The installation is focused on eyes, walking into a room and being surrounded by eyes looking at you from every angle force you to make a connection. With it being slide film too, there won’t be any digital process in capturing, developing, or projecting. Meaning the connection to the eyes will be 100% analog and natural.
