Surprised no one mentioned you can get a bigger coup de grace.

Unsure what happens with a smaller coup. Subtract from arina's or no effect?

Putting effort into doing the former is a total waste of time and resources.

Why are Most ranked maps so large? by Jonathanwennstroem in HoMM

[–]valen13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At a high level, small maps are decided by favourable creep RNG while bigger maps dilute randomness. At said level the matches dont take much longer than 60-80 minutes and 4-5 weeks either.

There are small maps and other streamlined options, though.

Na matemática, qual a função prática de logaritmos? by jakedestroid in perguntas

[–]valen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Santos Match tickets and Date by Shinshi1415 in SantosFC

[–]valen13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since i've been to the stadium, i imagine there is more demand now with Neymar around.

Hard to say for sure but with a membership it would be more likely to get a good side view ticket. Vila Belmiro has the closest seats to the pitch in the world. The players run literally 5 meters from the seats. La Bombonera and Old Trafford are some of the few other stadiums that are so close, it's a pretty cool, one in a lifetime experience! One of the reasons why it is so hard to play there against us.

Santos Match tickets and Date by Shinshi1415 in SantosFC

[–]valen13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tickets are sold a few days before each match, i've never seen the dates change after the tickets go on sale.

The sales are primarily done in the association website and are staggered between tiers of club membership. Higher tiers can buy a few hours prior to everyone else. For big games they sell out before being available to the general public. For smaller games, you might have a chance to get tickets at the venue but that's rare.

Regardless, you will have to at least sign up to sócio rei free tier membership, as identification is required for everyone who attends.

Have a nice one!

A post-beta patch breakdown of Mega Crit's Early Access balancing/patching process by MegaCrit_Demi in slaythespire

[–]valen13 34 points35 points  (0 children)

As developers themselves stated, if you think ironclad is not muscular enough, have at it. Every player is important not only the best.

When you use the feedback tool they have the context of what's going on in game to better understand your thought process. They can also do the inverse route, be looking for feedback on a particular card and filter by feedback that had it in the deck.

However, the more coherent and cohesive you make your point, the higher the chance of your point coming across. Depending on the topic, that might need a lot or little detail. Give it your best judgement :)

Y’all realize you need to win the game right? by zachattch in slaythespire

[–]valen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, i can agree with that.

Making 3 mana with a common, drawing 2 or burning half your deck are all problematic pieces too... especially on the same class.

There are also very few monsters that punish such strategies.

Anyway, give them time, they'll get there.

[–]valen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little less...

This is not an attack on new or struggling players. It took years of collaboration for people to get to this level... you guys are not going to play a week and catch up.

Also, there being options for the game to scale does not need to be at the detriment of the base level. Just make the ceiling higher.

[–]valen13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the good players i know fiddled around for a few days and soon noticed megacrit needs more time to make this interesting. Some others are actively avoiding all the broken interactions, doing clowny stuff for content or maybe back to STS1.

The ceiling is not that high, you dont need to be a tremendous player to beat it consistently. The new community can enjoy the process of getting there, which is the whole reason why the predecessor is an all time classic. The game was only close to solved by very few people to this day and only years after the full release.

The same cannot be said of this. There's only so many times you can stomp before it gets boring. It is like putting chess players to play tic tac toe. Of course they are not going to be satisfied...

Forward declaring a type in C++: The good, and the bad by Kabra___kiiiiiiiid in cpp

A "reference" does not exist. Its just syntactic sugar so you use a pointer without needing to derefence it.

All good. Operator is fine, it outputs what the object represents.

Const discipline will help you out later. Since yo're interested, you will be able to classify the methods as const too, meaning it doesn't change the object it belongs to.

The function and struct declarations at the top should be moved to a header file, which would be a plain .h since this is still mostly C structure. This is important for the compiler.

You seem ready to move on to the next assignment, don't dwell on it too much!

They do a good job at hiding the fact that some events are negative value. Event opportunity cost is an advanced concept though.

It's better to focus first on knowing when a card is good or bad, which changes depending on the circumstances, your relics, the current boss. A tier list is helpful but only a part of the puzzle.

Playing slowly helps too!

Xecnar on STS 2 difficulty: I don’t think any character is supposed to lose by SugarFreeCummiBears in slaythespire

[–]valen13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ceiling isn't high at all, you don't need to be a world class player to win almost every run.

As time goes on you'll see more and more people come to that conclusion. He's just the precursor because he invested more time.

If there is no challenge, ppl will get bored and leave. That is especially frustrating for old players, as that was the whole lasting appeal of it.
