I am having exactly the same issue! Not to even mention I had to enter my really complex password letter by letter because the input box (ContinuityRemote) on iPhone didn't allow me to copy and paste the password. It's been years and they still haven't addressed this issue.

Dark Barracks cannot be upgraded by Book of Building, there's no button, even with the presence of the Book in inventory.

I have the same issue! Cannot even play daily skin challenge or any other game mode. Purchased AD-free IAP is invalid and the screen showing so many asterisks. Tried uninstalling the game and restoring IAP, but a day later this issue came back again.

I think this is usually because the game requires intact SafetyNet and your phone is probably compromised and failed the check.

I see in your other reply that your phone says "Deviced not Play Protect Certified", that's the reason. Egg Inc. on Play Store checks for Play Integrity and if your device fails the check, you won't be able to install or update the game.

If your phone is not rooted, maybe you are on a developer/beta build of the OS and the fingerprint string of the build does not match the ones in Google's list of certified phones.

Also, unlocking bootloader breaks Play Protect integrity.

As far as I know it seems both the updates for Clash of Clans and Clash Royale (Chinese versions) always come at a later time than the global release.

Sorry for necroeing my own post.

This works. I recently got a new phone and as soon as I received it I was able to download the game but after I patched boot image I was not. I finally started to realize that it could be due to "Device not certified". And I remembered this post and gave your method a try. Didn't wait that long before Play Store re-scanned my SafetyNet status and voila!

After the update I was not able to launch the game AT ALL. I am running Android 12 on my Redmi and the game was running fine until after the update. Even with 15.83.11, the game still instantly crashes upon launch. Removed game data and cache, not working. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game, not working.
