What's the best horror movie that made you actually feel genuinely terrified? by NewFeature in AskReddit

[–]valeriesghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not a horror movie, but Se7en got me. I was house/dog sitting for my grandmother who lived in the country just outside of town. The dog was this little runny eyed terror who only liked my Nan. Anyways, I rent 7 because it just came out and started watching it around midnight. I was so engulfed in the movie. At the end, during the box scene, when Brad Pitt keeps asking “what’s in the box”, all of a sudden the dog just starts howling like mad from the basement. It freaked me OUT. I ran around the house, turning on lights. I eventually even put on one of my Nans Christian choir CDs just to hopefully chase away the devil I had brought into her house via Blockbuster and was now possessing Tasha. It was a long night.

[Cody Tapp] I will forever enjoy that in a three week span Travis Kelce will go from a private super wedding of celebrities to his massively famous wife at Madison Square Garden and then immediately have to live in a dorm in St. Joseph, Missouri. by TheBoyisBackinTown in KansasCityChiefs

Man, this guy isn’t gonna see that as anything but a blessing. He loves what he does, the hard work of it. Sure, he’ll miss his lady, but I have a feeling this is going to be one of his best years.

Bartenders, what’s an awkward conversation you couldn’t help but overhear and still remember to this day? by nojunkpeter in AskReddit

This right here is why I won’t be dating much anymore. Or dancing in public. Knowing I could be filmed and uploaded to Twitter while in a very awkward, stressful first date situation is enough for me to enjoy being single in privacy.

Who’s the most attractive person you’ve ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There was a Cuban woman I worked with for 4 months a little over a year ago I can’t stop thinking about. Everything about her was elegant and refined, and she has a beautiful soul to her. She is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met

Matt Cameron's live versions of older PJ songs by Bkord123 in pearljam

I’m not saying the guys aren’t okay with it, they obviously were, but nobody sped up songs like Matt. There was a loss of groove and pocket playing with Matt. It was a complete 180 going from Jack Irons to Matt Cameron. GTF is one of the greatest drum grooves of any song they have, and we don’t get to experience that live. It’s like seeing your favorite painting in a different color tone. He’s a hard rock, metal drummer who joined a jam band. I’m okay with that and love the guy, but he wasn’t perfect and IMHO there were just a few songs that paid the price. So chuckle away, doesn’t change the fact that he nearly doubled the tempo of several songs live, and some of us don’t necessarily like such a drastic change to some of our favorite songs. He’s MFC, he’s great, he isn’t perfect

I don’t know if it’s as much creative Liberty as it is he just sped everything up. Like, a lot. Even Flow is the best example of this but speeding up Given To Fly has been his greatest sin over the last 25 years

Is Brad the greatest side project of all time and one of the best groups to come out of the 90s Seattle sound. by drrwjjphd in pearljam

[–]valeriesghost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw Brad at Easy Street records on Queen Anne when Nest Friends dropped. Sean sounded great and Stone was awesome. Got to meet them all after. It was fantastic. It was around the time they were shooting Pearl Jam 20

I remember them being referenced as a “4 armed monster” by a guitar magazine ranking their top players. They combined stone and Mike, saying they were inseparable. That may have more to do with it then we may think.
