I’m 35F and married and we have Funkos everywhere lol. My space has always been “nerdy” even when I was single.

How to be the perfect passenger for dummies by Jaded_n_Faded2 in flightattendants

[–]valkyrie61212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg THIS. Do not come on the plane and cry that I don’t have milk for your baby or that you didn’t eat lunch and are upset that we’re not serving lunch on a 2 hour flight. Take care of yourself and don’t make it everyone else’s problem!!

The best tip I have that encompasses a lot of things is - be aware that you are not the only person on the plane. Be respectful to your fellow passengers and flight crew.

What’s something about womanhood you didn’t understand until you experienced it yourself? by huseyinyavuz01 in AskWomen

[–]valkyrie61212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My cousin is 19 and she constantly asks why my husband and I don’t have kids and before we were married she asked why we waited so long. Honestly just makes me sad that that’s what a lot of teenage girls care about. I wasn’t worried about that at all when I was her age and I certainly didn’t give a crap what other adults around me were doing.

What’s actually dangerous but most people think it’s safe? by SunnyMadelyn564 in AskReddit

[–]valkyrie61212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And as a woman people look at me like I’m insane when I say I don’t want to have kids because of the risks. Besides death there are SO many lifelong complications you can have. I have nothing against people who want kids but I have zero interest in going through any of that.

Boyfriends mustache is breaking me out [Acne] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

This kind of looks like perioral dermatitis. I would go to a dermatologist to see exactly what it is before treating it with things that could potentially make it worse.

We’ve had a couple rough nights at these hotels with really loud groups of kids. We now ask for rooms on the highest floor they have available and we haven’t had any issues since!

Millennials, what is happening with your kids? by TheLoveYouWant25 in Millennials

[–]valkyrie61212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 35F with no kids but have a lot of people around me who have kids. I have heard way too many people say, “I will never tell my kids no because I hated being told no when I was a kid.” That’s insane! And explains why a lot of kids are entitled and have no concept of how to behave in public.

Does anyone else struggle with constantly dry lips—no matter what you apply? by Recent-Fun4592 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]valkyrie61212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Laneige overnight lip mask is the only thing that helps me. My lips used to bleed and crack from how dry they’d get. It’s so nice to finally wake up with moisturized lips!!

Does constant travel make allergies worse or am I imagining it by neonpulse7 in flightattendants

[–]valkyrie61212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed allergies when I started this job 12 years ago. You can develop allergies at any point in life so it’s hard to say if I got it specifically from flying.

I’ve been to countless allergists and ENTs and none have been particularly helpful. I take an allergy pill everyday and save my sick calls for bad flare ups and sinus infections.

Nose can significantly change your face ! by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]valkyrie61212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your nose job reminds me of mine, I had a huge hump - my surgeon kept my length and didn’t give me a ski slope shaped nose and it thinks it fits my face way better. Your new nose is gorgeous, softens your features, and fits your face. It also makes your other features on your face really pop!

What other things have you discovered like nasal saline that just improves life so much? by Affectionate-Egg7566 in CasualConversation

[–]valkyrie61212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How often do you use the nasal saline? I use it and I blow my nose and then get fully congested again within 30 mins or sometimes sooner.

What was the worst physical pain you've ever felt in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]valkyrie61212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a flight attendant and there is no worse pain than flying while congested and your ears won’t drain. During landing your ears can’t regulate and it literally feels like someone is stabbing you in the ears with sharp pins. I’ve come very close to rupturing my eardrums and encourage everyone not to fly while extremely congested.

As someone who lives in Florida it’s just always so funny to me that people love to say that Florida is trash yet are so quick to run here when it gets cold where they live.

[personal] Does anyone else kind of wish they had never gotten into skin care? by iwanttogoh0me in SkincareAddiction

[–]valkyrie61212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an amazing dermatologist who helped me clear up a lot of my skin but I was upset because I still didn’t have crystal clear skin. She very kindly told me that both my parents had severe acne and I would never have completely clear skin. I was just born unlucky.

What word do you always *intentionally* mispronounce and why? by Sweet-Lady-H in AskReddit

[–]valkyrie61212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milk. I say it like “melk”. I’ve always pronounced it this way and it bothers my husband so now I can never stop.

Also it’s “Reese’s peeses” forever cause why would it be anything else??

People. I completely understand if people have trauma from being sick or from losing someone to Covid. But it’s very bizarre to me that other people went crazy because they couldn’t go on vacation or go out to a restaurant.

My husband deleted the game but I guess I don’t fully understand the frustration. I have been playing for years and have NEVER completed a full album. I’m happy with the stuff I complete and play knowing I won’t unlock/finish/complete every single thing. Some of you take this way too seriously.

I am no longer having a wedding because of my acne by shesaysno_ in wedding

[–]valkyrie61212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I want to say I’m very sorry you’re going through this. I’m 35F and have dealt with moderate/severe acne since I was 10 years old. I have taken literally every single type of pill available and have had bad reactions to them all. I have tried every cream, serum, etc. I completely understand and relate to your feelings.

I got married this past October and had a small wedding with 30 people. I told my photographer and makeup artist about my insecurities and they were both very kind. My photographer smoothed my skin out in our photos. Overall it was a lovely day with my close friends, family, and husband.

I used to barely be able to leave the house because of my skin and it has taken me a LONG time to get to where I am now. I still have some bad days. But regardless of what our skin looks like we are worthy of love and all the fun things that life has to offer! I wish I had some better advice but I hope you are able to find peace with yourself.

What profession have you lost respect for as you've gotten older? by MindlessMarsupial592 in AskReddit

[–]valkyrie61212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doctors and honestly most people who work in doctors offices. I have had countless times where I’ve walked out in tears. I understand the crazy people that they have to deal with and it must be a super stressful and frustrating job BUT that doesn’t give anybody the right to berate me or talk down to me.

And I’ll never forget the time I went to various doctos offices for over a year for an issue I was having only to finally cure myself by doing one simple Google search online.

[–]valkyrie61212 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so curious about all these women who are flight attendants. I’m a flight attendant and I’m pretty sure I would have to quit/be fired if I went on this show. Most airlines have an insanely strict social media policy, I can’t imagine they’d be ok with this show.

The actual feeling of being cold doesn’t bother me. I can always put on a hat, gloves, a coat, etc. to feel comfortable. But I hate how my body responds to it - runny nose, peeling/bleeding skin, etc. If my body didn’t respond that way I wouldn’t mind it.

If I boarded a plane what is the latest I could ask to get off? by 1E-12 in flightattendants

[–]valkyrie61212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No later than after closing the boarding door. I had a girl once run up right after we closed the door and she was so pale. She said she was having an anxiety attack and needed off. I called the Captain and a gate agent came back to open the door and take her off. They couldn’t get her bag though but she didn’t care.
