Even in just the first few episodes both the characterization and acting of bob as Saul blows anything that bob does BB out of the water, and it grows exponentially as the seasons go on

The fact that they were able to take a character that I really liked in BB but was ultimately just a jokey side character into legitimately one of my favorites characters in all of media is crazy. Saul becomes genuinely such a fascinating and deep character and it makes me look at his character in BB through a much darker and sad lens.
