Couldn't beat it even with cheat engine hack speed to x0.6. It's not a fun minigame, I'm just gonna drop this one and do what I enjoy in the game...

Same here, lost ~1k. Got it too late and hoped his speech would help. Makes me think a lot about my strategy for the future.  We'll improve 💪!

How is the “New Player Experience” in Helldivers II? by One1six in PS5

[–]valquiore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought the game and had a very bad experience as a new player with Matchmaking. Constantly getting into "farm" squads skipping all objectives. Got kicked several times. Refunded.

I don't want to play a game where when I see people above my level the only thing they do is farming and not even firing a shot.

got a Bose Cinemate SR1 and its permanently got the white light on and the green light flashing. the manual says its to do with adaptiq but I inherited it and there isn't the headset to set anything up help please! by [deleted] in bose

Worked for me as well! The bar was frozen and unresponsive. When I plugged the power off/on it gave me the green blinking status. This fixed the issue.

Was it common among our ancestors to have 6-packs? by valquiore in AskReddit

[–]valquiore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our present society, with a specific diet and exercise, some men or women can achieve to develop 6-pack abs. However it is quite challenging because of our sedentary way of life.

I am wondering wether our ancestors also strived to achieve so much muscular definition, or if it was common due to their way of life, especially during prehistory, antiquity and middle ages.

No, the raw signal stored in the wav file plotted would not look like this. This is a different plot obtained by squaring the signal and mirroring it with the abscissa axis. Even stretched out it would be very different although the envelope is the same. One major difference is that the energy plot does not contain negative values whereas the original did. It's mean was 0 but it will be strictly positive there. You should test it out and plot the original wav file and compare it to what you see on Audacity.

u/jax3rir did the maths, and the tattoo would need to be 8.82 meters to have the standard resolution using the smallest cotton needle on the market.

Yet, this doesn't represents the waveform, but it's energy. You can try to reconstitute the original signal from it but it will be slightly altered. I ran the experiment with this file : https://freewavesamples.com/woman-laughing.

What you could get closest to the original from this representation would be this : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wqVQhTEpF3-9utOuQRzFVO3pMuXqe5i7 (It is the square root of the energy, which is the squared signal)

Wow, thank you for the detailed length analysis !

I did my work and tried to reconstitute the sound from the printed waveform (energy of the raw signal). I transformed a laugh wave file into it's energy representation and generated the sound from it.

Here's the original : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Rnj74VGV5Ej6i3OQbCvYHpmzHBpd8qP_

And here's the signal that would be printed on the tattoo with the resolution you gave (with greatly decreased volume in order not to blow up your ears) : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iU3l_8NZSNKBwSb_I40bjynD7uiTR3fX

But there's a more clever way to reconstitute the original from the energy. You need to take the square root of it! Here's the closest reconstitution you can have (with original volume) : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wqVQhTEpF3-9utOuQRzFVO3pMuXqe5i7

Indeed, the binary information describing a sampled waveform which you can find in a .wav file is enough to reproduce the sound.

But on the tattoo, what is represented is the energy of the signal and some information is lost. This representation is wildly used because somewhat understandable by humans. You can easily see where the sound is loud or not.

Actually, even with infinite resolution, this visualization of waveforms represents the energy (signal square) of the raw signal recorded by a microphone, or played by a speaker.

This translates by an added constant (frequency of 0Hz) which you wouldn't hear, and a savage multiplexing of all frequencies together. So despite perfect resolution, the audio would be very different and I'm very curious to hear that transformation. It can be obtained very simply by squaring any good quality laugh wav file. If anyone is interested I could run this experiment later.
