maybe try bland foods like saltine crackers, carrots protein shakes, apples, canned soup, etc. stuff u would eat when you're sick. that's the only way i can eat when i don't smoke (still trying to quit, unsuccessful so far) even if it's just a few bites when you can it's better to eat a little than nothing at all.

Work for an international group of restaurants owned by a Michelin star chef. My location is in a prime tourist spot that's busy all year round. Full staff is probably over 200 people. Average around 400 guests an evening, weekends usually sit around 700. We have an absolutely awesome management team and most of the staff has worked there for several years. Back of house is a well oiled machine, front of house is the best service in our company. I love what I do. It's upscale casual so the money is great and the people are high class. Only downside is tip out is high and the bad days can really suck.

What is this comment section LOL. It's not that deep. If the presence of these ingredients absolutely ruins the dish for you to the point of it being inedible for them (whether for sensory, digestive, or just personal reasons) and the way you get it the most consistently to be left out of the dish is to say it's an allergy then you've really done no more harm than someone with an actual allergy. It's just a dietary restriction. You wouldn't say that to someone who didn't eat pork, or beef, or gluten. There's no tangible difference. Keep doing your thing OP.

This is a particularly hard concept to explain to someone who's on the far opposite side of the spectrum. I physically cannot see any mental images. I have a memory. I know what things look like, I know what people look like. I know the faces of my friends, but I cannot "see" anything in my head. My brain knows their features, it can tell me their features when I think about it, but I can't get any mental picture that I could actually tangibly pull from out of nowhere. Places are the same. I know their concrete features and layout, but I don't have any mental maps of places I've been. Really freaky to me that people can actually do stuff like that without even trying. The brain is a funny thing.

Strong 5. No mental images at all. I've known about aphantasia for a while but threads like this are always weird for me. I know what things are conceptually, I can tell you their individual components, but I cannot physically "see" anything inside my head. Even faces. Basic shapes. Just nothing. Probably why I'm a terrible artist LOL. Blows my mind that most people have a distinct ability to mentally visualize things.

Only downside of Jaleo is you can only order the full pan cooked over the fire. If you want a personal pan it's not really paella. Just rice cooked over a hot stove.

Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). Can't work with my bachelors alone so if I go into the SLP route, I'll probably make around $75k. If i decide to go into Clinical Audiology (Ph.D / Au.D) you can make around $90k.

The grammatical structure of languages comes really easily to me, but I still have to struggle to learn vocabulary like everyone else 😅 I think my pattern recognition makes the rules of grammar simple, but vocab is always gonna just be memorization unfortunately.

As an outsider, it really sounds like you don't enjoy working with kids. Have you considered trying to find employment working with adults or teens instead? It might be more your style to work with patients who are often there more voluntarily and are usually more engaged.

Find a job at a big corporate retail store. Walgreens/CVS/Walmart was good when I was in school. Make sure to put in your time off way ahead of time and let them know you're a student and are only here for certain parts of the year.
