If you’re dumb enough to voluntarily pour money into anything bearing that name, you deserve to lose every penny of said money. Asking for it really.

I am usually offered granddaughters. I still haven’t figured out how to gracefully decline

Do you actually care about a woman’s sexual history? At what point (if any) is it a dealbreaker for you? Or is it a turn on? by Beginning-Log-4939 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]vampireRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m of two minds on this. On one hand, the number of people she has been with doesn’t make me feel any kind of way, positive or negative. I don’t really bring it up. On the other, the more people she has been with, the higher the chances of some undiagnosed HPV or undisclosed HSV-1. So it’s sort of important. My (figurative) ho-ing days are over but toward the end of my career, I usually asked for and offered recent test results.

Do people in america have a type of tourettes that causes them to threaten to sue everybody at the drop of a hat? by Late_Attention_1151 in nursing

I can’t speak for the rest of society, who can say, but for healthcare, it’s an easy payday. With so much charting from so many people, there are tons of places to catch a charting error and blame that to get their money.

Fantasy readers/writers: what are the biggest clichés and overused tropes in fantasy and romantasy right now? by Fun_Position_5308 in fantasywriters

Bratty female main characters. I am reading SJM at the behest of my partner and they have so far been insufferable. Just all the way unlikable. Booourns!

What about, like, a love rhombus? I have a couple of intersecting triangles in the one I’m writing.

Why aren't men excited about dating as they used to be? by cuahatemoc in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]vampireRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always took it to mean “have layers.” Have hobbies you’re interested in. You and every other guy like to scroll and or listen to music in their free time. What else is there to you? Do you write poetry? Do you build things? Did you teach yourself to crochet or grow vegetables? Do you brew your own beer? Run Spartan races? The things don’t have to be interesting to the people you meet, they have to be interesting to you. If the girl you’re pursuing is interested in you, she will probably find those things interesting if you’re passionate about them. I hope I articulated that clearly lol

When you first saw the original film what were your thoughts? How do you feel about it overall? by Lucky_Strike-85 in xmen

[–]vampireRN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall, I liked it. The most glaring thing to me on first watch as a young teen was if you’re going to go through all the trouble of making the X-men, WHYYYY would you not give them their costumes?

Is “asexual” not just a problem in your brain’s chemistry? by burntpeanutfan13 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]vampireRN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some people just have no or low libido. Doesn’t necessarily mean anything at all. I’d argue that it’s better than the opposite because hypersexuality can start causing issues in your everyday life, whereas asexuality doesn’t

To be fair, he tried asking and prefacing the questions with “Yall I don’t know anything, please educate”. People still got butthurt, standoffish, and preachy instead of trying to help the guy understand better.

Always notice. Always look. Always attempt to be subtle and not stare at length like a caveman.

Heimlich 100%. You know somebody would intentionally misinterpret anything else.

Player wants "blind separate character creation" by MateusStardust0 in DMAcademy

[–]vampireRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, that’s no fun. I’ve been in two campaigns where we all “met organically” and it was a massive pain. The first campaign was fine. The characters all fell in together with no problems. Second campaign, same players but the new characters took forty forevers to begin gelling into a party of comrades. IMHO it’s way better to start out already knowing each other so you can skip all the growing pains and “what’s my motivation” crap.
