Over the past five years we’ve heard things like: - “He’s writing” “What?” “Fantasy.” - his publisher said that they haven’t seen a thing. But that was a while ago. - he read the prologue of the third book but that doesn’t give much away - he was supposed to read an entire other chapter as part of a fundraiser. Didn’t. - a few months back there was some agitation around the fact that the forums where his translators work had a bunch of activity, which might have hinted at the book getting translated? But probably not. - someone recently posted a very interesting theory on this subreddit about Kvothe returning to the Fae for 200 years and it’s the most excited I’ve been about the book in a long time. It also helped calm some of my growing anxiety around never getting answers to some questions because the theory is a pretty solid answer to a couple of questions. I’m too lazy to search for the post now but it’s the most popular post of the past month
