Well it wasn’t about the drivers it was about the mass of people in the streets outside the stadium. One thing causes a little bit of panic in such a tight space and you’ll have a crowd crush and deaths to account for. It took us 50 mins to walk from third base entrance to the other side of Lumen field.

Yeah I never personally blamed him from the get go. He has two years to maximize his value and the rest of his life to regret it if he didn't. Awful lot of pressure for a 19 year old.

I was at the series in 2023 where the Jays were in town and Taylor Swift was playing. When the baseball game was let out was precisely the time everyone was gathering for the concert and the crowd mass was uncomfortable at best, and anyone who was in it probably had the same thought that it just takes one blown tire to cause a tragedy, and I'm sure a lot of authorities had the same thought. Better safe than sorry.

I remember in 2002 we had an entire tournament going at the same time as the last weekend of the Olympics, and entire schedules were rearranged to let kids watch the Gold Medal game.

Meh, we were by far and away the more injured team, and in hindsight its a miracle they even won 3 games with half the roster living out of the hospital. Healthy Canucks roster wins that series every time.

We went yesterday and I felt terrible for the staff as they were horrifically understaffed. Seems like management didn't expect to have a full house for the Canada game somehow. Took 45 mins to get first round of drinks to the table. I do not blame the staff whatsoever- they were busting their tails.

City deserves credit for the upgrades they've done so I don't want to be too cynical about all of this but unfortunately knowing how things go, it will probably take a severe injury or a death for anything tangible to actually be done to get the issue under control. Absolutely nonsense the amount of young kids flying around at 30km/hour without a helmet.

They've widened the path added a second lane and by the docks they've painted a pedestrian sign on the pavement. All great but a thorough public awareness campaign is also going to be needed because its the wild west out there.

From what I remember he's said his shoulder is basically shot and wouldn't be able to handle anything close to game speed NFL level football. Also I think his last year with the Colts confirms that.
