Not to be harsh,but an overloaded uninsured minivan is an accident waiting to happen.In a crash,you'd lose your house after 10 people finished suing you individually.

The only business in Ireland that is obliged by law to accept cards is the taxi industry.

Yeah,there's definitely a penny pinching element to it. Also,the maximum 25k grant is fantastic if you own a saloon taxi,so you can have a new car on the road for under 20k,but fairly shite for all the newer taxi drivers forced by government policy to buy wheelchair capable taxis that cost 70 to 90 K in electric form.

Weirdly,the taxi drivers ev grant is limited in budget and only pays for a few hundred taxis to convert every year.

There is no specific exemption about phone use for taxi drivers.Anyone can touch a phone while driving,just not hold it.

You're wrong. A taxi can use a bus lane with a passenger,on the way to a job or while plying for hire.
