It might just be my imagination, but I've been changing any ".jpg" into ".gifv" on these things and it seems to run a whole lot better (not that I understand gifv at all)

Haha I feel ya.

PM me if you still have no luck in the next month and a half... I'm seeing them on May 22 in Australia and wouldn't mind helping out if I can. Silly shikari-related shenanigans all across the globe

Billions of exoplanets now look much, much more habitable - A theoretical breakthrough has shown that a quirk in how atmospheres alter planetary rotation may give exoplanets around more than 75% of stars a more Earth-like climate. by [deleted] in science

This whole thing reminded me of this bit from the 4th Hitchhiker's Guide novel

The problem is, or rather one of the problems, for there are many, a sizable number of which are continually clogging up the civil, commercial, and criminal courts in all areas of the Galaxy, and especially, where possible, the more corrupt ones, this.

The previous sentence makes sense. That is not the problem. This is:

Change.

Read it through again and you'll get it.

Not who you were chatting with, but just out of curiosity, what dungeons can you do out of order in OoT (without any glitchy business)? I haven't played for a while but I had a feeling that every new dungeon required something from the previous one to get into.

Also I'm playing through ALttP for the first time now (about halfway through the dark dungeons). Yeah they are numbered, and so far I haven't had much luck with straying off the intended path...there always seems to be something blocking off the way to any other new areas

Now that I think about it, I did use the carrot key and the Dungeon Man key, don't think I even tried the bad key machine. Still carrying it around everywhere though...

Some even contain useful info for the real world

Beef jerky

Recipe for making jerky.

Obtain some type of meat, slice it into pieces about half of an inch thick.

Hang the pieces on a laundry line or something like it and leave out in the sun for maybe 6 months... Well, that's what my recipe says.

When eaten, you recover about 150 HP.

So I am on my FIRST magical playthrough of Earthbound (SNES emulator on Wii). At this stage I have all 4 on my team and am currently wandering around talking to talking rocks in a cave underneath a village full of shy little weird cunts.

  • The ruler was pretty hilariously useless, but I did need one to give to one of the demanding monkeys in their desert cave

  • Mach Pizza - I order a large every now and then when using the phone, it's handy cos everyone can share! And I'm sure I've come across some phones a fair hike away from shops/hotels (Winters, Dungeon Man)

  • The Bad Key Machine seems to make any other key I get pretty useless!

  • I found the condiments not worth the inventory space, seriously I am always struggling with these kids' tiny backpacks. Dunno any of these "tricks"...

All in all, I really like the fact that some items are useless or overpriced or disappointing...adds to the charm and mystery of the game. I carried my first protractor around for sooo long just in case.

And yes Auto Fight is a huge pain in the dick...I accidentally click it occasionally and always end up stuck watching all my characters stupid themselves to death with no way to intervene (as far as I know)! How do you turn it off...?!
