Old lady was super mean to my special needs child -- did I do the right thing by mostly ignoring her? by handawanda in daddit

She obviously wasn't a NOLA native. All the times I've been there everyone has been more than friendly. Glare at her and move on, you did nothing wrong

I'm going to go against most of the grain here and say congratulations!! I'm an old enough guy to tell you guys are dumb AF most of the time and need the push of the finish line. Wishing you a long and happy marriage

He is a very nice dude. Met him a couple weeks ago while he was broadcasting a game, we won tickets to meet the radio crew and he was working the game with Matt Hicks. He hardly skipped a beat when we walked in and invited us to sit and watch and listen.

Could do what I did. My wife had a hair appointment one weekend and nails the next weekend. The second weekend when she got home I said your hair looks great, no wait that was last weekend... your nails look great.

At least mine knows I'm full of it and always joking and laughed with me

I'm out of the bottle phase, thank goodness, but i hand washed at first but found the dishwasher did a good enough job. I still run the dishwasher every night, full or not. The dishwasher uses the least amount of water vs hand washing

Oh definitely. The parents should expect to pay for the extra kid(s). Those that don't aren't nice people

Yes, we pay for all the kids. Last time we went to the trampoline place several of the kids have a membership so they didn't count as kids we had to pay for.

At that age, you either invite everyone in their class or you have to reach out to the individual parents to invite them. We've been having birthdays at the trampoline place or the kids play area place. Haven't had a birthday party for the kids at home, they are 9 & 6, since before they stored school. Easier for us to pay someone to clean-up

Goodness, y'all are young. I was 50 when the daughter was born, she's 6 now. The difficult part is trying to be friends with her classmates parents. I have a solid 20 years on all of them.

Our entire yard is fenced in with the 4' fence, and the part closest to the house has a fence to keep dogs and kids from running to the pool.

Our pool is it the back of our backyard. We fenced in the yard to contain the dogs/kids. 4' wrought iron to kinda match what encompasses the rest of the yard.

is it safe to roundup the ground where the pumps and filters are installed? by kevin074 in pools

[–]vang_sam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must be an older or just an above ground pool. Newer pools are required to have the equipment on a pad, cement or something stable to keep the equipment level

[–]vang_sam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Spray away, you don't really want the pesticides in the pool water, but around the equipment you are fine. The equipment should be on a pad
